Has been in existence – HOPE has shared health education and humanitarian assistance with the people of Honduras. Project HOPE, John P. Howe, III, M.D.: Shared Beginnings
http://wwwprojecthopeorg.blogspot.com/2010/08/shared-beginnings.html
Saturday, July 31, 2010. As I look around at the lush, green mountains that surround the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Deschappelles, Haiti, I can’t help but be reminded of a similar pastoral setting many thousands of miles away— the Project HOPE. Headquarters in Millwood, Virginia. A country apart, the hospital and HOPE share in an often-intertwined vision of humanitarian aid and health education. Fast forward to 2010. After the January 12th. In keeping with our shared mission, HOPE contributed to the ho...

Project HOPE, John P. Howe, III, M.D.: HOPE in Nicaragua
http://wwwprojecthopeorg.blogspot.com/2010/09/hope-in-nicaragua.html
Thursday, September 23, 2010. Throw a stone any direction in Nicaragua, and it will land on a health care challenge. Dr. Jorge Luis Prosperi, who heads the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) here in Managua, used these words to describe the health status of the country. Despite these and other alarming trends, I would offer a slight variation on Dr. Prosperi’s observation. Throw a stone any direction in Nicaragua, and it will fall on someone trying to address a major health care problem. Today, Edua...

Monday, October 4, 2010. Visiting our VSL groups in Guija District - Mozambique. Guija, unlike neighbouring Chokwe is ...
