Around the Homestead: March 2014
http://aroundthehomestead.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
2014 '52 in 52'. Monday, March 31, 2014. March 2014 NewFo Project. Another month came and went and another quilt got started! I *think* I'm starting to enjoy quilting, maybe, just a little:) This challenge is hosted by Barbara over at Cat Patches. And is a lot of fun. You are to just start a new quilt or quilt-like project each month and post about it on the last day of the month. No pressure to actually finish any of you projects! Now that's my kind of challenge! So here is what I have done so far.

Stitch It Together: Cleaning Pre-Printed Cross Stitch
http://vanaqb.blogspot.com/p/cleaning.html
It All Started with My Mom. Cleaning Pre-Printed Cross Stitch. Trip to China Guide. Cleaning Pre-Printed Cross Stitch. Yes, ladies and gents (for the males who do admit to handling needle and thread like a real thug), there is a method to my madness! I don't just rant and rave and carry on like an obsessed crafty 24/7. That's because I have to sleep.and eat.and take naps. Sometimes I brace the real world and go to work and get paid. Step 1: Finish what you want to finish. Step 3: Add some Joy dish soap,.

http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
You reap what you sew! Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Where's All the Stitching Time Gone? Seriously though, I blink and suddenly June is over. Whoops! It’s been rather busy here lately with plenty of other distractions but I do have a few updates. The Winter Lady just has one more section before her dress is complete! Let’s hope she can somehow keep me cool now that summer is officially starting haha! Must get back to this one …. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And seeing new places :-). View my complete profile.

The Stitching Reaper: April Stitches
http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2015/04/april-stitches.html
You reap what you sew! Sunday, April 19, 2015. I finished the pink block of my blackwork sampler at last! Although it’s difficult to see each section has two shades of pink in it. Here’s a close up of the different patterns. The four shades I chose are all part of the same pink family, but I thought they would differentiate themselves a bit more than they actually do. I’m going to do the connecting motifs in the same brown as the border and I think that should set off all the colors nicely. The last two ...

The Stitching Reaper: December 2014
http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
You reap what you sew! Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I thought I’d end the year by showing my final finish. Here’s this year’s Christmas ornament for my mom:. This is Santa in a cupcake, designed by Lucie Heaton. Of course, he may not end up as an ornament (my mom’s gift for me this year became a coaster) but that’s still to be decided. I’m still working on finalizing my stitching goals for next year. I’m already looking forward to some new starts I’ve got planned. Friday, December 5, 2014. Can you guess...

Tiki Stitches: YOTA August 2015
http://tikistitches.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-told-myself-iwas-going-to-make-this.html
It's a way of life. Monday, August 3, 2015. I told myself I was going to make this post yesterday. Before it becomes tomorrow, here it is. Admittedly, most of the progress on this happened Friday night and Saturday, but there is progress. I’m hoping by the time I get the large fireplace section done, I’ll have decided on the color for the little stones. Hmm, maybe light and dark, I’ll try to keep that in mind. Check out Pull the Other Thread. For more YOTA posts. August 3, 2015 at 10:49 PM. First finish ...

Monday, December 5, 2011. Oakhaven Yahoo Group 2011 SAL. I joined the Oakhaven Yahoo Group this year and participated on two of their SALs. These are adorable calendars that were so much fun to stitch! We received the chart on a monthly basis and each of us worked on all different sorts of fabric count, colors and threads! The Owl SAL will be framed and given to my husband's grandmother as a gift. It's worked on Charles Craft 14ct Cameo Rose Aida, 3 x 1 full crosses with Anchor floss. Needle in a Haystack.

The Stitching Reaper: July 2014
http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
You reap what you sew! Monday, July 14, 2014. Well jump back, I actually came through on what I said previously, haha! I’ve finished all the metallic silver stitching on the Summer Lady. It doesn’t necessarily show up well in the photo, but the silver comprises the outer border and the edges of her dress and sleeve. I even managed to make a start on the gold metallic stitching, but so far it’s not proving as cooperative. Good thing there isn’t as much of it! Have a great stitching week! I'm Back and Fizz...

The Stitching Reaper: May 2014
http://stitchingreaper.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
You reap what you sew! Saturday, May 24, 2014. Samurai and Summer Lady. Distracty things have been distracting me of late. I thought I’d better make a post before I forgot what I had done, haha! Here’s what I did during the first part of the month:. The second sleeve on the Samurai is finished! I even moved onto the bit of tree on the right but it’s still a work in progress. Just the left half and the gold to go now. Have a great stitching week! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And seeing new places :-).
