I saw many different varieties of candy cane wreaths around pinterest.so I pulled my favorite parts of different wreaths together to make one all our own. First Kimberly painted an old cd with red acrylic paint. I used 18 candy canes for our wreath. I used the glue gun to make pairs of candy canes. Testing out the look. This made it much more stable. We are all very happy with this years wreath.

Today, June 29th she was diagnosed with a broken scaphoid bone. It is a bone at the base of the thumb into the wrist. I guess she will be enjoying a permanent "thumbs up" for the next up to 12 weeks! Using a medicine dropper we dropped water colors onto a dry sheet of watercolor paper. (I think the liquid watercolor. Is a must for this). The kids then dropped vegetable oil onto the paper. Place the paper on a cookie sheet or cake pan.it gets messy). They enjoyed seeing the colors get "pushed around" by the oil.
