So This is Julie. Making Creating Cooking Eating Living. 30 Days of Creativity: Day 10 with Crepe Paper Flower Tutorial. April 16th, 2011. Day 10: Create something today inspired by nature! We had a few days of fantastic weather, but over the last few days, it’s been cold, damp and gloomy. April showers bring May flowers, right? Well, I thought I’d make my own with some party streamers from our stash of supplies. They’re easy and fairly quick to make! For a little variation, I like layering two colors.

Monday, September 29, 2014. Child of the forest. Emilee captured this great photo of Margaux this weekend. I love our little outdoor girl. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Margaux shares sleeping quarters with Daddio and Bessie. She and Bessie are tucked in a few hours before Daddio joins them. August is snug like a bug on the other bed, where I join him for the night. So far this routine is working out OK. Things will change when August is mobile. Breakfast around the campfire. Time for hot dogs and s'mores.

Saturday, August 23, 2014. Where the magic happens. I have been waiting for 2 years for this to happen. For Margaux to lose herself in creativity at her desk. Tonight after dinner she was fully engrossed cutting strips of construction paper and gluing them together. I have vivid and fond memories of creating "masterpieces" at my desk in the kitchen growing up. Some of them we still use to decorate our Christmas tree. He loves to do it all himself! Whether its spoon feeding himself his yogurt or brushing his teeth. He also really perks up with anything musical!
