http://www.racheerachhtravels.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Snowmageddon wasnt as scary as the weather people thought it would be. Wow, how lovely it must be to have a job where you can wildly and incorrectly predict the future and still manage to keep your job. Am I wrong? Im sure this post may be boring to most but I like saving up these memories of my weirdo dog. Hes awesome and I hope he lives forever. But if he doesnt, at least Ill have these photos to remember him by. Links to this post. Friday, January 23, 2015. Blair and her c...
racheerachh travels: Balloon Festival 2015
http://www.racheerachhtravels.blogspot.com/2015/08/balloon-festival-2015.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. A couple of weekends ago, I went to the Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. In Readington, NJ. This one was sponsored by QuickChek and it was at the Solberg Airport. There was a plethora of food stalls, booths with toys and knickknacks for sale, and games and rides. The stalls and booths were set up along the tarmac which was cool, except the black asphalt was radiating heat. It was a spectacularly sunny day, which was lovely for watching balloons floating off into the sky. By the t...

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. 2014: A Year in Review. Well, it does to me. Anyway, I think this year was a particularly good one. I did a lot of traveling this year. I revisited old favorites and discovered new favorites. I was sent to North Dakota for work, which I dreaded but it was a great opportunity and I got to see one of Americas coolest sites. I did a ton of crafting. And even more cooking. Links to this post. Thursday, December 25, 2014. Links to this post. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. To be fair, ...

Monday, April 27, 2015. How To: Travel with Friends. Every trip was a learning experience and has given me something to contribute to this list. Links to this post. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Galileo: Favorite Map App. I love Google Maps. I really do. I also love the My Maps. Feature. Its awesome because you can bookmark places and use really adorable icons and even draw lines (i.e. for bike paths) and you can even import someone elses hard work into your own maps. WHY, GOOGLE, WHY? It was so annoying.

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Was in town that weekend so it wasnt a waste of a trip to town. I know what youre thinking, Pabst Blue Ribbon? No, no, it was the Professional Bull Riding competition. The evening started with a prayer - which I found interesting but cool - and then a local girl sang the National Anthem. You know youre in the midwest when the singer is wearing fringe and she sings, that the flag was still there. and pronounces it fleh-y-g. Links to this post. Monday, July 28, 2014. I loved reliv...

About Me ♫. Monday, August 3, 2015. 36 Hours in Philly: Summertime Eats. A couple of weekends ago, I met up with H in Philadelphia. We stayed with my cousin and her husband and we ate a ton of delicious food and did a lot of fun stuff. You can scroll down for the food or click over to my travel blog for the fun stuff. The food in Philly really impressed me. I ate so many amazing dishes that I am determined to recreate at home. PHS Pop Up Garden. We were all mesmerized by the gorgeous pink flowers, fairy ...
racheerachh eats: Korean Cold Cucumber Soup | Oi Nenguk (오이 냉국)
http://racheerachheats.blogspot.com/2015/08/korean-cold-cucumber-soup-oi-nenguk.html
About Me ♫. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Korean Cold Cucumber Soup Oi Nenguk (오이 냉국). We've had several unbearable days this summer where it's so boiling hot, it's hard to breathe. I've been really into this cold cucumber soup because it's refreshing, spicy, and you don't need the stove. Ingredients [serves 4 to 6]:. 1 lb baby cucumbers. 188; oz. dried seaweed. 1 clove garlic, minced. 2 scallions, chopped. 188; red onion, sliced. 189; teaspoon grated ginger. 1 Thai chili, chopped. 1½ teaspoon soy sauce.

About Me ♫. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. What I Ate: Spicy Fridge Pickles. Whilst we wait for our garden to start producing some cucumbers, my sister asked me to make a batch using store bought cucumbers. I altered my spicy pickles recipe. 160;ever so slightly for this batch so despite this being a What I Ate post, if you scroll down, theres a recipe page for you, if youre interested. About Me ♫. Friday, July 31, 2015. What I Ate: Ojinguh Bokkeum. I wish we had a more substantial farmers market in my town. Luckily for us, our grocery store is pretty well stocked and they recently set up a little stand with local produce. Theyve also upped their meat and seafood game. The selection isnt always that varied but once in a while they have some gems. And when they do, I pounce. This time, it was a delicious looking package of squid which I turned into ojinguh bokkeum. racheerachh eats: Cold Buckwheat Noodle Soup | Mul Naengmyun (물냉면)
http://racheerachheats.blogspot.com/2015/08/cold-buckwheat-noodle-soup-mul-naengmyun.html
About Me ♫. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Cold Buckwheat Noodle Soup Mul Naengmyun (물냉면). Even though mul naengmyun (translated: cold noodles in water) is a chilled, refreshing dish, making the broth requires heat. It's a little annoying except that making broth is crazy easy and so I endured five minutes of skimming foam next to the stovetop for the reward of a bowl full of cold noodles. I previously shared a post on bibim naengmyun. Ingredients [yields 4 servings]:. 1 ribeye steak (well marbled). When yo...

About Me ♫. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. What I Ate: Garden 2015. I love using the super fresh produce from our garden. For one, it's fun to "harvest" what I need as I need it and have it be super fresh and gorgeous. But mostly, I love that it's all pesticide-free and better than organic because it's home grown. I thought I'd share some of the yummy meals I made using our garden harvests. I made some Korean chive pancakes ( using the same batter as my zucchini pancakes. And to a batch of cucumber kimchi.

About Me ♫. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. 1 lb naengmyun noodles. 1 pear - asian pears are preferable but bose pears work too (and they're readily available in most markets). 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 2 tablespoons hot pepper paste (gochujang). 3 tablespoons hot pepper flakes (gochugaru). 1 tablespoon soy sauce. 2 teaspoons sesame seeds. 1/4 cup of corn syrup (or you could just use white sugar). Pinch of salt (to taste). 2 hard boiled eggs (optional). Place 1 serving of noodles in a bo...

About Me ♫. Friday, February 27, 2015. Thai Red Curry Chicken Soup. This soup was unintentional. Let me explain: I was going to make a traditional chicken noodle soup. 160;but I changed my mind when I saw that coconut milk was on sale at the market. I stocked up and then decided to make a Thai-style soup. We already had some cilantro and lemongrass in the fridge so it was pretty perfect. Ingredients [yields 8 to 10 servings]:. 2 bone-in chicken breasts (or thighs). 4 cloves garlic, smashed. And, because ...

About Me ♫. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I am a recent Nigella Lawson fan. I'm sure I would've known about her much earlier if I were a Brit but alas, as I am a patriot, I only found out about her when I was flipping through the television one day. Apparently, the Cooking Channel started airing her show quite a while ago, but I only found it earlier this year. Today, I'm sharing a frozen cheesecake inspired by Nigella. I recently watched an episode where she made a no-churn coffee ice cream. I thought abou...

About Me ♫. Monday, August 31, 2015. What I Ate: Coconut Pie. So a couple of weeks ago, my coconut pie recipe was voted the best recipe with coconut on Food52. It was super exciting, considering I only joined the site a couple of months ago and have been submitting to the contests just for fun. It was the third contest I entered and it was super exciting to be made a finalist, let alone win. Posted by Rachel Kim. Friday, August 28, 2015. While we were in Ithaca earlier this month, we ate pretty lavishly.

9813;Travel 101♕. Where I've Been ☁. About Me ♫. Monday, August 17, 2015. Im turning 29 this November, which makes me really nervous. I hate celebrating birthdays because I hate getting old and with the big 3-0 looming up ahead, I feel like Ive only got a little over a year of youth left in my bones. In somewhat of a third-life-crisis, Ive colored the ends of my hair bright pink as a final hurrah, you know, while Im still allowed to do this. Links to this post. Monday, August 10, 2015.
