Saturday, January 29, 2011. The beginnings of a wedding dress! The idea that I have on paper made its way to fabric today! In my first class I learned so much! Draping, pattern cutting, pinning and so much more. This is going to be so much fun, and my teacher Nora is so nice. First we padded this form so that it was the same size as me then we started draping to make my pattern. Class one of 3 complete! Now I'm off to do my homework! From Sunday to Monday. We were asked if we were on our honeymoon and when we said "no" they asked how long we had been married. Somehow they got the impression we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary. We were okay with that since we got champagne and chocolate cake. :). The view from our balcony. Griffin (on the left) golfing one of Jack Nicklaus' designed courses.

Stanley Family Stories: March 2013

Sunday, March 31, 2013. Easter weekend traditions this year looked similar to the past few years (plus a little snow and a visit from Aunt Laura.). On Friday morning, Grandma Denyse hosted an Easter egg hunt at her house. Cousin Parker was able to fully participate this year and the snow made it a little easier to find the eggs. Friday afternoon we dyed eggs with Grandpa Ken and Aunt Laura. Truth be told, we picked on Grandpa for wearing a white shirt to dye eggs. Bleach took those stains right out.
