Books, Crayons, and Lightsabers. Follow me on Twitter. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Last year I posted some blogs about some of our different Advent Activities, but I never posted about the actual calendar we've created. So. here it is. I'm still not 100% happy with the little gift sacks, but I'm not sure how else to do it, yet. I'm thinking about sewing pockets to a piece of felt, but I'm not that confident, yet, with my sewing machine. Drive through the Park to see the Christmas Lights. So, this is wh...

Books, Crayons, and Lightsabers. Follow me on Twitter. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Homemade Cocoa Marshmallows and S'mores. This last weekend, we made another batch of marshmallows. Unfortunately (or fortunately? I didn't haven enough light karo syrup, so used some dark syrup, too. I was afraid the marshmallows wouldn't turn out white, but Ryan suggested we add some cocoa powder to the powdered sugar mixture. Okay - GREAT IDEA! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It was just a quick over-night stay, but we had a great time, and the kids really enjoyed receiving presents! Here's a few pictures of the kids. Went to a new (for me) thrift store this weekend. Found this message board for $2.98. My office is yellow, and this board is blue, green, and yellow. It matches perfectly! Monday, November 8, 2010.

Books, Crayons, and Lightsabers: Apple Days
http://booksandcrayons.blogspot.com/2012/10/apple-days.html
Books, Crayons, and Lightsabers. Follow me on Twitter. Saturday, October 6, 2012. When we got home from Silver Dollar City, Aunt Lisa and Annika and Mira were at our house! The next morning, we worked on making apple sauce and apple chips. The kids all had a blast peeling and slicing the apples. Allison never left the table. I think she peeled 50 apples by herself. The apple sauce is soooo good! Mira wasn't quite strong enough to do the peelers, so she just ate the apples! Missouri, United States.

I've never made a fruit flag cake, so this seemed like the perfect "excuse.". Ryan frosted the cake with white icing. Allison did all the blueberry "stars." I don't think we had 50. We lost count. Turner helped slice the strawberries and line them up as the red stripes. It was SOOO Yummy! First day - Math. Turner, thinking hard! I enjoy playi...

My kids can NOT stay out of the hose and sprinkler. The laundry pile is growing faster than normal because they can't take the time to put swim clothes on, so they're soaking two or three outfits a day. Allison, who got on Ryan's old bike, YESTERDAY!
