Wednesday, 20 May 2015. Zine Camp came and went. It was an intense and lovely experience to organise and host Zine Camp this year. So much energy was floating in the air, people creating zines on every table, talking and sharing, learning and expanding their circle of friends. Truly magic. It felt like Rotterdam was craving for something like this to happen. More photos here: https:/ www.facebook.com/events/1584900601727512/. Photo by Florian Cramer. Tuesday, 13 January 2015. Project day at WDKA - zine workshop. Posted by Rachel Sender. Monday, 5 January 2015. Ending the year with a Pothead sale. The last few months of 2014 I worked on a series of ceramic pieces called Potheads. After a bit of stress and uncertainty (glazing is a temperamental thing), I finally got the pieces ready to sell before Christmas. I was so happy to sell them all! Below are photos of my Potheads and the studio opening. It was a great end to 2014. Bring it on, 2015!

Horses out on bail | nomadic stories

https://kanairo.wordpress.com/2013/03/03/horses-out-on-bail

Horses out on bail. It was more by chance that I happened to walk by Smithfield horse fair today and only afterwards did I read about the new regulation: In January this year by-laws were passed to limit the controversial horse market to twice a year, one in March (today) and one in September, with tightened regulations for trading licences, under age participants and animal welfare. Without knowing it, I might have taken some pictures of historical value. At the same time the amount of security must hav...

Month: August, 2013. August 22, 2013. Dublin – A Summer’s Tale. It’s almost as if this exceptionally warm and long-lasting summer has finally freed Dublin from its state of shock, caused by the sudden recession back in 2009. Dublin’s Ghost Estates | nomadic stories

Dublin’s Ghost Estates. I know it has been a while, so I will try a fresh start with something quite interesting, yet slightly upsetting. I am going to introduce you to two of Dublin’s ghost estates, shocking reminders of the “celtic tiger” era, the Irish economic craze that abruptly ended in 2009. I captured these morbidly picturesque views this summer on a cycle between Dublin and Portmarnock, just about ten kilometres North of the capital’s city centre. Affected areas are believed to be concentrated i...
