Monday, December 1, 2014. Thoughts on Living Abroad and Airlie Beach. It has been a whirlwind these past two months being back in America. We flew back to Idaho at the end of September. Daniel has since found a job here in our hometown, so we are here to stay for a good while! It has been an adjustment, but we are loving being back in the Land of the Free. And home with our sweet families. I have been slacking for these two months, but finally got around to writing this little post. THEY ARE THE COOLEST!

Tuesday, September 9, 2014. As most of you probably know,. Australia is opposite in seasons. So winter just got over and spring is finally here! It really doesn't feel that different. It has gotten slightly warmer, in the high 70's as opposed to the low 70's in the winter. It was so weird having it be in the 70's and winter time here. Aussies are SO DRAMATIC about "cold" weather. Daniel and I flipped on the radio in the car one day, and guess what was playing? Baby it's Cold Outside". Haha we about died!

Thursday, August 28, 2014. See this amazingly beautiful place right there? This is on Stradbroke Island or called "Straddie" by the locals. It's a little island off the mainland, close to where we live. We woke up Friday morning and decided to pack up our cute tiny car,. And drive to the ferry docks to catch a ferry to the island. Wow, I think ten years have passed since I have last blogged.Things have been super crazy and busy over here, with Daniel finishing up his last few exams and summates of his Master's Degree, our church callings, church activities, and more. Keeping to our tradition of spontaneous road trips, we took an overnight bus on Sunday night to London. I had some Christmas gifts I needed to deliver to the LDS visitor's center/mission home for my brother who is serving a mission for our church there-so we figured this would be a good time to go! It was a quick visit, but it lifted my spirit significantly. And having the tube doors close on us, ha!

Tuesday, July 8, 2014. 4th of July Weekend. On Thurday Daniel and I took the kids I nanny for a walk to the park and a picnic. I couldn't help snapping a picture of this adorable housedown the street. It's the traditional Queensland style home. You can't really tell, but there are magpies in that tree on the left. The magpies here are massive and freak us out! Cyclists have to wear these crazy helmets with spikes coming out the top. To prevent magpies from swooping down and attacking them. haha. Goodness...
