2015 Mid-Season Review: Patrik Sandell. August 5, 2015. In Supercar points (157); 6 starts, 1 win, 2 podiums, 8 heat wins. A runner-up finish at MCAS New River, aided by a last-lap dive into the Kobalt Tools Joker Lap, took him into the Detroit doubleheader, where he swept all four of his heats. On Sunday, starting from the pole in the main event, Sandell overcame contact from behind in the initial start, took advantage of the red flag, and finally won his first race of the season.
