Is a London based ceramic artist who grew up by the sea in New Zealand, both locations deeply influence her work. She creates porcelain collections with a strong narrative based on sites and structures that fascinate her. Her trade mark dribble edges are combined with her own glazes that fragment images, making each piece unique. She has created industrial panoramas for her porcelain bottles using distinctive photography of the last remaining Bottle Kilns in Stoke on Trent. The tradition of Mud Larking, ...

A London IT man dreaming of a Lake District life. November 16, 2013. But, outside of old Valletta seems a sad mix of English provincial town discos on a Friday night in Paceville, and Come Dancing Sunday afternoon in Broadstairs in Sliema. This is a blog of my journey to train and get to the start line of NZ Ironman 2008. So join me in my ups and downs. Tuesday, March 4, 2008. I AM AN IRONMAN! Yes - I did it! Believe it or not, I got through the swim (yay! And of course, through to the finish. To say that I was overjoyed that I got through the swim, is an understatement - as my supporters will vouch for. And, as amazing as it might be, it was probably the most enjoyable part of the day. How is that for a complete turnaround? While sitting ...

Dreaming of Other Realms. Work In Progress: Fall of the Kings. Heady Days of Optimism: NaNoWriMo is back! November 1, 2014. November 1, 2014. It’s been a few years since I succumbed to the siren call of NaNoWriMo. And a few more since I managed to produce 50,000 words of semi-readable prose; yet ever since that first crazy angst-ridden effort, November for me, has become synonymous with writing. So although I got on my soap-box on this blog and said NoMoWriMo. They say time heals all. What could go wrong?
