http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Had buttermilk left over from a pie this week, so I made biscuits which ended up being the still life subject matter for a cold Saturday. (Made a buttermilk cake, too - it was great! Email me for the recipe! I'd like to do more of these little still lifes this winter - for years I've been watching Duane Keiser. And his brilliant evolution both as a painter and as a promoter of his work via the. A Painting a Day.

Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint: July 2007
http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Friday, July 27, 2007. A different kind of project. Here's what I've been working on lately. This is a project to make the concrete barricades in front of the Elementary School look more interesting and attractive. I've collected actual child drawings of kids, and am enlarging them one at a time as accurately as I can, in groups of five per block on each side. Enlarge the kid drawings, and soapstone to draw the transfer. It's really been f...

Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint: Recent small paintings
http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2010/07/recent-small-paintings.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. All Golden Open acrylics on 5"x7" clayboard. Mark "LDS Music" Hansen. Im always amazed that a real artist can take very little actual paint, and with broad strokes, create great art. And how a hack (such as myself) can overwork details with great pains and much effort, and still not get anything good. Thanks for posting them. What a nice thing to say, Mark - thank you. Keep that black pot of yours hot! Painting My W...

Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint: Bronze medalians finished
http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2010/08/bronze-medalians-finished.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Friday, August 20, 2010. Bronze medalions back from the foundry. I drew the imagery for these, then David Klaren carved them in wood, and had them cast in bronze at Eagle Foundry in Lander. They are for the new elementary school, to designate the three different wings. I think they turned out luscious - and I learned a ton about casting. More to come as they are installed. I saw these in the works in Davids studio. Theyre beautiful.

Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint: March 2009
http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Another 11x15 pastel in the classroom from a photo reference (thanks, Dad! This one really is much nicer in real life - there is a pink glow in the sky that didn't photograph at all, and the colors are much softer and hazier than they came out, even with all the tweaking I could do. I think this one is begging to be a big watercolor. I might try that. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Painting a Day.

Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint: Front Yard Bargerville
http://cristyanspach.blogspot.com/2010/12/front-yard-bargerville.html
Cristy Anspach - Fresh Paint. A record of sketches and paintings. Wednesday, December 08, 2010. This is one of three little sculptures from a series I've been working on recently. The sculptures are made of grass, soil and dog hair - the concept being using only materials I find in my front yard. (the lawn and shrub bed are excluded - my thought centers around the things that were there before I began planting and watering things.). Did you make that dorodango?
