Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Meet Larkin - Blazingstar Black Bubbly. We have been terrible bloggers. Having two litters, even small litters, at the same time, was overwhelming and our attentions were 100% focused on raising the puppies last Fall. It's time to play catch-up! Which means that we should introduce Larkin, Begbie and Cava's single puppy, born on September 11th, 2013. Larkin at about 6 weeks old. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. We were lucky to have Kona's "boyfriend" visit us for a week. Boy Wonder (Ch Flyway Farm's Boom Boom Pow SH WCX* ) is a sweet, easy-going flat-coat with lots of energy and character. It was a great opportunity to get to know this lovely dog better. I think he enjoyed his prairie visit! Thank-you so much to Xan Latta for letting us borrow Boy and use him at stud. Kona is her usual happy and active self and is still enjoying some field training. Just a bit under four weeks to go.

Thursday, June 6, 2013. Blazingstar's First Obedience Trial Champion - Lindy! On May 25th and 26th, Rod and Lindy competed in Utility obedience and qualified three times to complete her Utility Dog title in one weekend! We are so proud of this super team. Their performances also rocketed them into the top 5 obedience flat-coats in Canada, currently sitting in the number 4 spot. Lindy is the first Blazingstar-bred dog to become an Obedience Trial Champion! Lindy is now S HR. Blazingstar Linnaeus JH WCI RE.

Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Congratulations to Brian and Katy on their litter at Songdog kennel in Indiana. The proud mother is Keetch ( UH HRCH Songdog Red Flag Warning CDX SH WC). Ughter of Annie (Tinbie's sis ter). Sire is Pinch ( CH MACH2 Ardrossan Inchmarnock UDX TD MH WCX * ). Apparently Annie is taking great interest in her grandpuppies and has been helping look after them while Keetch takes much needed breaks. Anne counts her grandpuppies.
