Rainforest Treks - Treks and Stories
http://www.rainforesttreks.com/reports.asp
This page is the "meat" of my website. the stories and photos I've collected from various treks into some of the world's greatest wet places on earth. Click on any of the reports linked below to see trip reports and photos of each of my major treks. I take frequent smaller treks (weekends and such), although I usually don't write detailed reports about them. But if you're intersted anyway, peruse my Webshots Albums. Baranof Island, 2011. Baranof Island Solo Expedition, 2010. Service Falls Expedition, 2008.

The Pursuit of Singletrack. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Climbing Mt. Hood. Mt Hood from Trillium Lake, 2013. Not one hour later I get a text from Andrew stating something to the tune of: "How about we climb Hood this weekend? Well damn, ya why don't we," I replied? Boom just like that my frustrations were answered. Clare loaded to the gills. We took a quick break at the top of the Palmer lift, refueled and switched to crampons and ice axes. I was a little nervous to be climbing in my ski boots as th...

http://bryanmullaney.blogspot.com/2014/10/smash-and-grab-mt-rainier.html
The Pursuit of Singletrack. Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Smash and Grab Mt. Rainier. A few weeks ago, Kerrie and I realized that we had a few weekend coming up so we made a last minute decision to head up to Mt. Rainier National Park. About 2.5 hours north of Portland, this national park was much too close to have never been visited by either of us. Kerrie is actually driving, wahoo! Sorry, couldnt get enough of the Tatoosh Range. Not a bad view for a lunch spot. Don't feed the wildlife. Getting the foilb...

The Pursuit of Singletrack: November 2014
http://bryanmullaney.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
The Pursuit of Singletrack. Monday, November 3, 2014. Coming up Gnarl Ridge. I had been wanting to do this trip for years and after climbing Mt. Hood in January, I decided that it would be my goal for the year to climb to the top and run around it. Had I planned a little better, I might even have included a Mt. St. Helen's climb and loop within a year as well. Too bad. My wife and mom decided to meet me at two spots along the way to provide moral encouragement and give me a bail out option if necessary.

The Pursuit of Singletrack. Monday, June 3, 2013. Upper Rogue River Trail and Table Rocks. But this time around, I wanted to go check out the Upper Rogue River Trail. Not really sure what these are. Wasn't in my guide book. Big ass pine cones. And all of a sudden we have concrete and fences. This must be Natural Bridge TH. Hard to tell from my crappy pics, but this is where the river goes underneath this lava flow and disappears and reemerges about a 100 yards down streams. Said Bridge. Dont miss this.

The Pursuit of Singletrack. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. South Eastern Oregon Exploration: Alvord Desert to Steens Mountain. That night we cooked over Foil Bombs/Hobo Dinners over the fire and played Banagrams. Kerrie was disappointed it took so long to have a fire on this trip so we stayed up late chatting around the campfire and looking at the stars. On the way towards Bend, we visited the Riddle Ranch, had lunch at Frenchglen Hotel, explored the Pete French Round Barn, visited the Diamond Craters and drove...
