Siders Sense: December 2012
http://siderssense.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 4, 2012. So glad it is December! November 2012 was not my favorite month ever. You might think that I am down in the dumps about turning 30, but that isn't it at all. Actually, I kind of like my 30's! And we had a great Thanksgiving, so I suppose it began and ended well. But the middle was not so great (other than my sweet baby turning 7 months old). But enough of that. At least I had my Wildcats! When the election didn't go as planned, I focused all my optimism on the fact that my alma...

This is especially problematic considering that he has had one "first" after another! Here's a brief summary:. A first: eating cereal! Tummy Time is getting easier! A first: K-State football game! And is now 5 months old:. And what a fun 5-month-old he is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 4 months.and 5 months!

The Rosenthal Project(s): The Camo Room
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-camo-room.html
Thursday, December 20, 2012. Project #17: The Camouflage Room. One of the bedrooms upstairs had a very expensive hand painted wall. Unfortunately it was camouflage, while the other three walls were each a different color within the camouflage. This room was quickly referred to as the camo room for obvious reasons. The camo wall colors didn't really go with the rest of the house so we decided to paint them. In anticipation for one day having a little one we created a nursery themed room. August 27, 2010.

Siders Sense: March 2012
http://siderssense.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Celebrating the year of babies. Kindergarten teachers beware: your class size may be much larger than normal in 2017! It is exciting to be expecting your first child, but it is all the more fun when many of your best friends are expecting babies at the same time. In fact, so many of us are pregnant that it just made sense to have a group baby shower for 3 of us. Some people might not like that, but we loved it! A boy, a girl, and a surprise! Wednesday, December 26, 2012. The Man Cave Final Phase. Project #19: The Basement Phase III. Matt then installed the new plumbing lines and poured back the floor. Followed by sheetrocking the storage closet under the stairs and installing the 2x stud walls. Ha Ha not really it is the mold resistant sheetrock. Then Matt poured the shower pan. This consisted of framing it out of 2x studs then installing the waterproofing barrier and pouring in the floor of the shower sloped to the drain. Next Matt installe...

The Rosenthal Project(s): The Man Cave Phase II
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-man-cave-phase-ii.html
Monday, December 24, 2012. The Man Cave Phase II. Project #18: The Basement Phase II. Once Phase I of the basement was completed we took a little break before tackling Phase II which was the bar. Matt decided to add a new skill to his resume and attempt to built the bar from scratch. This meant custom building every cabinet, shelf and even the bar top out of solid oak. From Phase I we had the walls and ceiling completed as well as the pony wall for the bar. Next Matt completed the plumbing for the sink, ...

Siders Sense: One
http://siderssense.blogspot.com/2013/04/one.html
Monday, April 15, 2013. One year ago today, this tiny baby entered our lives:. And today we celebrated this big baby, who is on the verge of toddlerhood:. Experiencing a child's birthday as his mother is different than celebrating other birthdays. I've spent the last few days thinking back over the last 12 months, and realizing that what I have heard others say is true: it is hard to remember life before Zachary came along. I feel so blessed everyday that I get the honor of being his mom. The Life of Al ...

Siders Sense: January 2012
http://siderssense.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 30, 2012. The hardest part (for me) about not finding out the sex of our baby has been planning the nursery. The hardest party for Aaron is the not knowing part. One of the first things I started thinking about when we found out we were expecting was the nursery, and I quickly discovered that baby bedding options are 99% gender specific and 1% gender neutral. I need more selection than 1%! I also painted some furniture white while I was at it. Here is in-process:. That's it for now. H...
