Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World: For the Love of Mojitos!!!

http://raisingafoodieinafastfoodworld.blogspot.com/2010/07/for-love-of-mojitos.html

Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. For the Love of Mojitos! There is just something about a mojito, they are so refreshing with the mint and lime! This past week I had a friend over and I made some yummy watermelon mojitos and for dinner one night I made original mojitos, they were both super yummy and easy to make. Is it wrong that I grow mint in my garden just so I can use it to make mojitos? The watermelon mojito recipe was adapted from one found on tastykitchen.com. Domest...

Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World: January 2010

http://raisingafoodieinafastfoodworld.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World. Sunday, January 24, 2010. When I was a kid and my mom would ask me what I wanted for dinner on my birthday I would say meatloaf, I would still say meatloaf today! My hubby and Little Foodie are not big fans of meatloaf but since I cook most of our meals so that they appeal to their taste, once in a while I like to cook something that is my favorite. This meatloaf was super moist and Little Foodie said it was really yummy! 1 pounds ground beef. 1/4 cup chopped onion.

Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World: Lemon Sugar Cookies

http://raisingafoodieinafastfoodworld.blogspot.com/2010/05/lemon-sugar-cookies.html

Raising a Foodie in a Fast Food World. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. This is another great lemon recipe! I promised Little Foodie and my husband I would make them a sweet treat while they were at school/work. I have been making a lot of chocolate goodies lately so I thought they might enjoy something different and I was right they LOVED these cookies! They have a nice little crunch on the outside and the middle is soft and chewy. Enjoy! 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 1 1/2 cups sugar.

Trying Before Dying: The Vegetarian Experiment

http://tryingbeforedying.blogspot.com/2011/01/vegetarian-experiment.html

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Growing up, I was never a huge fan of most meat. Put a piece of steak in front of me and I would rather not partake. However, I do like some meat like pepperoni, bacon, sometimes chicken, fish, etc. Although I eat a lot of vegetarian dishes, I also tend to enjoy meat products. However, I really want to try giving meat up altogether. January 29, 2011 at 10:28 AM. I spent many years as a vegetarian, but I must admit that Im a full blown carnivore now. For me the problem was that ...

http://tryingbeforedying.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 30, 2010. The idea behind "Trying before dying". I have decided to create a brand new blog (mostly because it's been forever since I wrote in my last one,. And I forgot the sign-in email and password.). Still, this creates an opportunity for me to start something fresh. In the previous blog, I was engaged and getting started in the process of transitioning into a new life with Ryan (my amazing husband! Now, 5 months married and working full time, I have some new things to say and learn.

I found this recipe on a YouTube tutorial while I was looking for a natural face mask, and it works really well. 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. 2 teaspoons green tea (cooled). Mix into a paste and apply it to skin. Rub on gently, and let it sit for 10 minutes. The mask can be stored in the 'fridge for 1-2 weeks. Wednesday, February 2, 2011. I have found it lasts longer than commercial brands, smells amazing, and is definitely the cheaper way to go! 1/4 cup baking soda. 1/4 cup corn starch or arrowroot powder (I use corn starch, but for some this will irritate the skin. Arrowroot does not contain talc in it, so it will not irritate.). 6 heaping tablespoons of coconut oil. 5-6 drops of tea tree oil. February 2, 2011 at 5:12 PM. I use this recipe and have been for about 4 months now! Fake it til you make it.

Raising A Family With ADHD and GAD

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. I was going to blog today about our experience with Carson being diagnosed with ADHD and GAD, but my thoughts keep turning to summer and how excited and relieved that it is here. As the mother of Carson I seem to inhale a large breathe at the beginning of each school year and am afraid of exhaling and destroying the fragile balance which is Carson. Is he or she going to be a good communicator with me? After all that, come academics, which I worry about the least, but not enough t...
