Sunday, March 15, 2015. Dubai Spring Break: Day 6. Wednesday was our last full day in Dubai and we spent half the day in the old Dubai area. Everything that we had done so far on the trip was in downtown Dubai area and we quickly noticed that Old Dubai was a lot different! Thursday, July 30, 2015. Life lately has been so good! July was such a great month and we had so much fun! It started by going to see Inside Out on July 4th weekend. We were so excited to have Daddy home with us on Friday. We celebrated July 4th. Charlie enjoyed digging for worms! We had many park dates! Our neighborhood has a preschool open gym. Thursday, February 27, 2014. On January 2nd (yes, I'm really behind! The day started with a trip to the Perot Museum with Nana and baby Luke and Charlie had a blast! Friday, July 25, 2014. The 4th of July was so much fun this year. The day started at our neighborhood parade! Luke wanted to be in the parade. :) He kept walking off and joining the people in the parade. He definitely had the most fun out of all of us! He then found a sucker and opened it on his own and enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure Charlie's first sucker was when he was 2 years old and it was organic! Second child is a little different! Charlie loved all the things they threw at the kids. Way to go Matt!

Sunday, May 17, 2015. Over the weekend, we headed out to Grapevine for Main Street Days. This was our third year to go and it is one of my favorite things we do as a family! The boys are both at great ages this year and we had a blast! Charlie was SO excited! Once we got there, the first thing Charlie wanted to see was the train! He even rang the bell! After the train, we explored for a bit. The street was lined with vendors selling lots of crafts and good food! Then we found something just his size!

As it's been our tradition for the last few years, the entire family (Oma, Opa, brother, SIL, and nieces/nephew) headed out to a week of fun at VA Beach. It didn't disappoint! Wednesday, December 26, 2012. 1st Snow of 2012. Today was the 1st "real" snowfall of the year. :) I showed Austin, through our bedroom window, that it was snowing outside. He immediately ran downstairs saying, "It's snowing! He went and grabbed his snow boots from last year (which he wouldn't wear b/c of some reason or another) and shoved them in my face and then proceeded to wait by the deck door. Sunday, September 1, 2013. A Day of Many 1st's for Austin. Today was our last day of swimming for the summer. The pool closes tomorrow evening with a HUGE neighborhood party so we decided to get our last bit of summer swimming in today. 1 - Austin would only stay in the tiny, roped-off area that is less than 3 ft deep. Every time we asked him to go in the deeper parts of the pool, it elicited a stark "NO! Today was a complete surprise! I don't know what got into him but we'll take it! So proud of my boy!
