Velvet - Guide Dogs of America Breeder. Saturday, October 31, 2009. What fun to be at Lake Arrowhead for Halloween. We had some short people wearing all kinds of costumes, perhaps children, come by and knock on our door asking for treats! Gosh, it was so surprising I had to bark! Foster mom had a tray full of candy and yummy goodies for the visitors. I did not see any of the kind of treats they give to me and Asta and Gail on that tray. Very odd. Thursday, October 15, 2009. Velvet - Guide Dogs of America Breeder. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Weekends at Lake Arrowhead have been great fun! Swimming, running, playing, watching squirrels, eating sticks and acorns, taking long walks and nice naps with the family. Here I am with my squirrel toy. During the week I stay in Coronado where I have a nice yard to romp and stomp in with my toys and doggie friends. This is my new pack! I am a GDA breeder? Velvet - Guide Dogs of America Breeder. Friday, September 18, 2009. Velvet Meets Her New Foster Family. Today I went for a ride in the GDA van with Meri. We stopped at a fun place called Tom's Farms. It was hot there, so we took a little walk in the shade of some pretty trees. A woman came up to us to say hello. She knew our names, and was petting me and hugging me! My first weekend at Lake Arrowhead with my new foster family! I had a ball playing with my new dog friends and I LOVED all the swimming!

Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Update from Team Training. Milano did not match last week at Team Training. We knew this would be a possibility since there were more dogs than people in class and there were a lot of dogs held over from the previous graduation that had priority. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Milano goes to college. Milano went off to college at CCI's NW campus in Santa Rosa on August 13th. She was such a great puppy to raise. She had a very fun personality, but at the same time she could work hard. I will keep everyone updated on her progress! Her first report should come the first week in October. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. I received Milano's monthly report and I am happy to report that she is doing very well! She has gone on field trips and is working hard on learning her advanced commands. Hopefully she will continue to do well and graduate in February! December 9, 2010 at 6:51 AM. Exciting that shes still in the running. Here in North Central there are quite a few puppy raisers just waiting to see if their dog can make to February so they can meet a match.
