Tuesday, 1 March 2011. Marysville and Black Spur Forest. This weekend Shan, Racquel and I headed to inland Victoria to visit Marysville which was ravaged by the fires 2 years ago. It was a fantastic drive and we found a little lollie shop selling lots of NZ treats like chocolate fish, pineapple lumps and toasties. Needless to say we had to buy up large and pig out. Wednesday, 28 October 2009. Before heading home to NZ I spent 18 days in Africa (Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) with Absolute Africa and had a fantastic time. I trekked to see a small family of gorillas in Rwanda. Known as the Umubano group they are one of the smaller with only 9 members including 1 silverback called Charles. Monday, 15 February 2010. The day I picked up the Mini. Here is the video Laurie took of Shan and I arriving home in my new mini Phoebs. How cute is she! I am also proud to say that I completed 2 right hook turns this week (with Shan's help of course)! They are not as scary as I first thought. Sunday, 14 February 2010. My new flat with Shan. Monday, 27 September 2010. Shan and I headed to Queenstown for a week of skiing in the last week of August. We had a fantastic time even though we only skied 2.5 days. We were very dissappointed as it meant we had to go and taste wine and relax. Darn what a shame. And many other yummy treats. Needless to say that I am now a few kg heavier after all that!
