I knocked this up tonight using a PowerPole kit I bought from Sotabeams for 9.95 a Maplin project box 3, and binding post that I had knocking about in my box of bits. The binding post was my idea as I still have a few radios that use banana plug connectors for connecting to power supplies and I don’t really want to remove them.

This is a second FTM-350 that I bought some time ago from Dave M6DHV in Barrow in Furness. I’ve installed it on the dash board of my Nissan X-Trail, and after a week or so using the standard Yaesu microphone and remembering how much of a pain in the backside it is I decided to purchase a cheap ( 22) hands free microphone kit off eBay.
