John Bude, Death in the Ambush. 这是我看的第一本John Bude的小说。第一次知道这个作者是从Sutherland Scott的 Blood in Their Ink. 主人公侦探小说作家来到一个小村庄，认识了家具收集商A。很快主人公发现A在当地声名狼藉，树敌颇多。A结识了当地的一个小伙子B，以及B的父亲C和女朋友D。主人公偶然目睹A和C激烈争吵，但C否认自己和A认识。另外D貌似和A有染。 主人公的好朋友，Scotland Yard的侦探Meredith来到小村。两人去拜访A的时候，在A宅门口发生爆炸，A的一位访客被炸死。Meredith检查现场发现有人设了一个手雷机关，只要脚下绊到一根细索就会引发爆炸。Meredith怀疑凶手是想炸死A。 Meredith调查众人的不在场证明。在终章之前蹦出一条重要线索：有人在附近拾到一把带血的刀子。

Jacques Pendower, Out of This World. 顺便再来介绍一本和通灵会有关的不可能犯罪。没有最烂，只有更烂。这本书开头还比较吸引人，一个大师在众目睽睽之下悬浮并消失，但接下来的情节发展如同白水，以至于完全没有概括的必要。 踩在和背景颜色一样的板子上，表演悬浮。利用光线和背景颜色完成“消失”，其实从秘道溜走。在猫的爪子上抹慢性毒药杀人。 唉，还是怀念Carr的 The Plague Court Murders. Siobhan Dowd, The London Eye Mystery. 最近很忙没有时间更新blog，今天来补一篇电梯密室。这部小说出版不久，因此没有收录进bobo的书单。 所谓的London Eye是伦敦的一个大摩天轮。在两个小孩A和B的注视下，小孩C上了摩天轮。摩天轮转了一圈之后，C却没有下来。A和B在摩天轮旋转期间一直盯着C的密封舱，在密封舱到顶的时候还核对过，所以应该没有盯错。 家长向警方报案，三天过去大家都没有找到C，他到底上哪里去了？ A和B提出8种可能的理论，其中有几种纯属搞笑，比如人体自爆和时间黑洞。 C的朋友D戴着假发，穿着外套和C一起入舱，在舱内C把假发和外套交给D穿戴。 C后来跑到一个废弃的大楼里，被A的父亲误锁在里面三天，靠喝厕所水箱里的水度日（好惨），差点玩完。 摩天轮也算电梯啊，汗一下。回头看看这本书。 Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
