Rambling Coherently

Thursday, September 11, 2014. By December of 2013, I'd began to look to fill other gaps in my life. Like the ability to make friends. Especially girls. I don't recall how exactly, but I managed to land up on a dating website, and started talking to people. However, I feel that the maxim doesn't fully capture the intricacy of the prerequisites needed to consider settling down. The amount of parameters that need to align in order to even consider spending your life with someone seems to make my frettin...

Rambling Coherently: September 2010

http://rambling-coherently.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Media - Not liars, but selective truth tellers. A half truth is often more dangerous than a whole lie. The Indian media is becoming more and more aggressive with each passing day. In the Kargil war, it was said that the Indian media was largely responsible for boosting the morale of the Indian soldiers, which was a key factor towards Indian war - Something that was apparently missing in Pakistan (Source: Wikipedia. Rambling Coherently: December 2011

http://rambling-coherently.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 23, 2011. Banal is what the bored bourgeois would describe the brouhaha of the blarings between the two sides of the "Anti-Corruption" bill. Billowing steam and exchanging rhetoric is what seems to be happening between the two from ages now. A simple chart would show how levels of excitement peaked and are now visibly waning. I'd like to make two distinct points which can be simply inferred from the above graph:. Clarity of objectives and a focused approach when protesting are a must.

Rambling Coherently: October 2010

Sunday, October 24, 2010. My Experiments with the PC . BIOS flash going awry. Well this dates back to the time I was perhaps in my 2nd year of engineering. My 6 year old monitor had gone bad. So I went out and got myself a cool 19 inch widescreen Samsung flat screen. I had initially planned to get only a 17 inch screen but decided to go for the widescreen one after checking the price difference between them. So, I come in and plug the beauty to my CPU. The screen glows up and it looks awesome. This meant...

Thursday, January 27, 2011. A lesson in exchange for memorable photos. Ow that the anger has faded and I've stopped kicking myself, maybe I can focus on the lesson. Indeed, I've started downloading photos mid-trip from our camera fairly diligently and regularly. Sometimes we have to pay a high price to relearn well-known lessons. Rambling Bug

Wednesday, January 11, 2012. In case you haven't noticed, I haven't been doing anything here for a while. In the past couple months I have traveled quite a bit (Pocatello, Pittsburgh, Boston), I'm starting a crazy semester at my current job while trying to look for a new job, and I decided to add one more chapter of results to my thesis before calling it finished. I just don't have time to write blog posts* *. So Rambling Bug is going on hiatus. Funny/sad because it's true). Links to this post. 3 The las...

The Happy Elephant

The elephant is freed from the fridge, and ready to ramble! Say you love me. It seems like yesterday. Sunday, May 23, 2010. After giving away the old one and made me realise how much I miss piano-ing, I now got a "new" one! She is beautiful even with the kittenish sticker on one of the C key. My fingers are going to linger over these black and white keys, than the laptop keyboard. Oh, did I not mention I am going to practise hard? Sunday, May 09, 2010. Something Worth Showing Off. RAMBLING DAVE

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Why does the river feel so much better? What is keeping me on the bank? Why the discontentment on the bank? What do I have on the bank that is better than being in the river? What could I do to stay in the river longer? What if the offer to come into the river fulltime or at least often, is really available for everyone? What if I could jump into the river anytime I want and stay as long as I want? What if the only thing keeping me out of the river is me, my things? I think w...

frivolous, and then some

Frivolous, and then some. Twitter and Instagram @emrung. Sunday, 26 April 2015. Living in KL - a short lesson. A little over four months living, working and breathing in KL air, I've returned home for a brief - one week - break and you better believe I haven't left my dog (and house) since landing four days ago. After a steaming bowl of pho in Bankstown and a quick drop in to Westfield Liverpool for a bout of power browsing straight from the airport that is, I haven't been anywhere since. Without so much...

Rambling Finn's Random Thoughts

Rambling Finn's Random Thoughts. These are my random thoughts. Take them as they are. Saturday, 7 December 2013. Managed Democracy with Weak Leaders and People of Wealth. Most of my observations are based on Finnish and US politics being a citizen of both countries, but I believe that much of the same is taking place in other Western countries as well. One of the key pillars of democracy is openness. This is not how a democratic society is expected to work. TTIP) The negotiations have been on-going for q...
