The Girl in Red.

The Girl in Red. Thursday, 20 October 2011. So, considering that this is a rather dense subject, how have I been conducting my research? Initially, I started with some Internet research on WikiLeaks; looking into its origins and role within the Australian and international media landscape. I also conducted the same initial research with whistleblowers and how they have influenced and affected the Australian media. Above: Image sourced from Google. Thursday, 22 September 2011. The Girl in Red.: Freedom of the press - how free is free?

http://www.ramblingjournalist.blogspot.com/2011/09/freedom-of-press-how-free-is-free.html

The Girl in Red. Thursday, 15 September 2011. Freedom of the press - how free is free? In the aftermath of the News of the World hacking scandal, it seems that the notion of press freedom has become more pertinent than ever. What do we mean by freedom of the press? And yet, can there be such thing as too much freedom when it comes to journalism? Who watches the watch dog? Above: Image taken from Google. After operating for nearly 170 years, the News of the World published its final edition on the 10.

The Girl in Red. Thursday, 25 August 2011. On death dow - The end of news as we know it? Century powers on, it seems that those who fail to adapt to the rapid advances of technology are being left behind. Indeed, the rising star of the Internet may spell the end for journalism as we know it. Above: Image sourced from Google Images. The changing face of journalism in the 21. Is it all doom and gloom when it comes to the relationship between journalism and the online world? Broadcasting Corporation (2008)&...

The Girl in Red.: Out with the old and in with the new - the rise of social media.

http://www.ramblingjournalist.blogspot.com/2011/08/out-with-old-and-in-with-new-rise-of.html

The Girl in Red. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Out with the old and in with the new - the rise of social media. As we have previously seen, the rise of technology in the 21. Or are they a hindrance? 750 million users worldwide. With access to millions of users from across the globe, Facebook has the potential to be a valuable source for journalists. Similarly, Twitter, which has over. Above: Image taken from Google. So, should social media play an intrinsic role in the way journalists source information?

The Girl in Red.: September 2011

http://www.ramblingjournalist.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

The Girl in Red. Thursday, 22 September 2011. A moral minefield - the public’s right to know vs. the individual’s right to privacy. We live in a society that thrives on publicity. We have magazines, websites and television shows all dedicated to the cult of celebrity. We follow their every movement, whether they’re walking the red carpet at a movie premiere or simply walking to the shops. But what gives us the right to pry into the lives of the famous? Victims of disasters or relatives of the deceased?

Thursday, April 9, 2015. Madhi19 Reddit new post madhi19 on GTA V on PC will take place on 7 DVD discs. Hell at that price Rockstar should release on BD, bump the price by $12, and package a goddamn drive with the game. They probably save money on printing only one or two disk instead of seven. Ramble On

Posted by J on Thursday, October 10, 2013. I am freezing. The weather is changing and I do not like it. My office still has AC running! Of course I have a wool shawl with me, and if my hands were working (I haven't knitted in a week) I would be working on my Hue Shift over my lunch break instead of typing things. We had parent-teach conferences this week and I was shocked to learn that my children are "very quiet" in school. My kids? I'm glad they know how to act in public! Little bird in Lowes. I'm inte...

Ramblings Of Life

Saturday, August 7, 2010. My daughter turned 16 this week. She didn't want a big fancy party (she's kinda like her Mom), just a few friends. But I asked her what she wanted for her cake. I made her the hippo cake last year (seen here in my New Year's. Post) and she loved it. I ended up going with a topsy-turvy style, 2 tiered cake. She requested her favorite colors for the frosting and I made up marshmallow fondant for the decorations. Birthday that I still need to sign up for! Friday, July 30, 2010.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Yellowknife was really nice. I enjoyed my time there. It was a neat experience and lots to see. If it hadn't been for the bugs it would have next to perfect. It took some serious work to get my car to a semblance of clean. Put almost 4000K on my car. That was a lot of driving. After coming back from Yellowknife on Thursday and then Grande Pairie and Back with very little down time I was ready to get home and relax. Started work as soon as I was home. Ramblings

Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Excited for a new month. When I started the meal planning I was afraid it was going to be this huge, daunting thing. I was pleasantly surprised! It was a good month to start because we are leaving for Florida Friday so I had 1 less week that we needed to cook for. If I can do it for 3 weeks, why can't I do it for 4! I'm so happy that it went well. I've been talking a lot about doing things to get less possessed food in our home. I'm really excited about this! It's liquid (you ca...
