Daniella's Misadventures
http://daniellasmisadventures.com/2002_12_01_daniella_archive.html
Saturday, December 28, 2002. This is a blog about a topic in which I am the undisputed expert- me. I am Daniella, a thirty-two year old transplanted New Orleanian (pronounced "New Orlins" for those of you who want to say it correctly. If you say New Or-LEENS to me, I'll kick you in the shins), living just outside New York City. A reformed party girl and an all-around crazy woman. These are my misadventures. Read and enjoy. Leave a comment or drop an email. Just play nice. Posted by Daniella at 12/28/2002.

Wednesday, January 18, 2006. My Date with John Stewart. After two years of being on the waiting list, we were informed via email that we had been selected to receive tickets to The Daily Show taping tonight. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past several years, The Daily Show is the best damn fake newscast on TV. Our adventure started with this email:. Dear Ticket Holder,. 3) We invite more ticket holders to our show than are actually allowed in our studio to insure full capacity...

Tuesday, December 20, 2005. I wanted to write a well worded acid rant about how ridiculous the transit strike is (do you even know. Because these guys, who make an average of $63K without the benefit if a college education or a skilled trade, want to continue to be able to retire at 55 years old with full pension benefits, continue to receive health care benefits with no cost sharing and want guaranteed raises of 8% annually. Um, yeah. That certainly. Poor and downtrodden. My ass.). I promise one day, wh...

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I give to you my list of a 73 things about me. 1 I was born in Riga, Latvia. 2 I live in Montclair, NJ. 3 New Orleans will always be my home and the place where my heart is. 4 I am an only child. 5 No, I was not spoiled. 6 I love sushi, thai food and Vietnamese food, but I hate Chinese food. Go figure. 8 I am getting my MBA. 13 This time, it is. 15 My favorite place to visit is Italy.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Happy Mardi Gras, ya'll. Laissez le bon temps roule! Posted by Daniella at 2/28/2006. Friday, February 10, 2006. A year ago, I found out my dear friend Mike Wolf had passed away. I'm not going to go into it in great detail, you can read about it and about him if you cycle back to last year's February archives. Suffice it to say, he was a remarkable person, taken from this world much too early, and this is a colder, darker place without his light in it. They evacuated New Orlea...

Thursday, March 30, 2006. Chris Rose is a genius. His writing is so very, very good. Misery in the melting pot. Along Toledano, the only thing worth having is patience. It has been seven months. I am walking down Toledano Street, the wide pitch from Broad to Claiborne, 10 blocks of classic urban American landscape: sad grocery stores, chicken, pig's feet and dirty rice to go, brick revival churches, funeral homes, auto parts stores and ramshackle row houses. Welcome to the melting pot. You have to figure...

Tuesday, June 06, 2006. In case you haven't figured it out. I just don't have time for this site right now. Don't worry, I'm not going away for good, it just has started feeling like "just one more thing" on my to-do list rather than as an enjoyable activity. If you would like me to email you when I start posting again, feel free to leave your name and email in the comments. I leave you with the long overdue Jazz Fest picture album. click here. Monday, November 29, 2004. Is this husband still under warranty? Blogging will be light to nonexistent as my brand spankin' new husband is broken. Yup, after only six weeks of marriage, he had to be rushed to the hospital today for an emergency appendectomy. I didn't know being married to. Would have such an effect! Don't worry, he'll be fine. He keeps trying to apologize for ruining my birthday. As if anything matters but him getting better! Posted by Daniella at 11/29/2004. Wednesday, November 24, 2004.

Friday, January 17, 2014. Inspiration: Craft Paper Rolls. This image has been floating around Pinterest for a while now. We have these same size craft paper rolls in Sugar Magnolia for $10.00. As always, if you aren't in Oxford and are interested, please let us know by emailing us at ramblingroadinteriors@gmail.com. Life on the Farm. It's been a while since I last posted here so here is a brief run-down of the past two months. First of all I finished my Permaculture Design and Natural Building Course at Rak Tamachat and then headed to Bangkok for a few days of civilisation. However Bangkok was too hectic after life on the farm, so I caught a train back to Chiang Mai. With several days of bed rest and some strong anti-parasite medicine I was feeling well enough to return to Thailand. My original plan was to return di...
