Ramblings of a Cantilangnon

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon. Friday, October 5, 2007. Barangay and SK Elections. There's an interesting column by Neal Cruz. In the Philippine Daily Inquirer regarding the Barangay and SK elections and I could not agree more. The Barangay and SK elections have become a breeding ground for corruption. Did we not elect our Mayor and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan basically to manage the affairs of the town and direct the implementation of local and national policies? According to Section 384. Basical...

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon: September 2007

http://ramblingsofacantilangnon.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon. Friday, September 28, 2007. Beachwalks and other musings. Rivers are supposed to be a source of life, a place where people bathe, travel and have fun. Think of the Nile, Amazon and Yangtze, the Tigres and Euphrates were civilization started. People built settlements near rivers because of its obvious importance and here we are ignoring this important value of rivers particularly our own. What have we done to our river, I ask myself? Monday, September 24, 2007. As far as the p...

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon. Monday, July 16, 2007. I agree with Conrado de Quiros that the most honorable thing that Migz could have done is to have conceded defeat before the Maguindanao votes were counted and his political capital would have risen. It would have been statesmanlike. He's only in his 30's. Why's he in a rush? It will be all fun and games for Migz. But then again, this is the Philippines. Cheaters has a tendency of getting away with it. Thursday, July 12, 2007. What a horrible mess!

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon: Rubout or accidental death?

http://ramblingsofacantilangnon.blogspot.com/2007/09/rubout-or-accidental-death.html

Ramblings of a Cantilangnon. Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Rubout or accidental death? Two things come to my mind about this incident: firstly, shock that such a crime could happen to our otherwise peaceful town and secondly, that the police has not satisfactorily answered about their role in the incident. Is it fear that they might get into trouble for running after a defenseless man or is it just plain laziness and complacency? What has happened to the investigation? I think it is about time that our po...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. A Bit About Me. May 12, 2009. It’s one in the morning and I can’t sleep, so here I sit watching. To make the time pass. I worry too much and I know it. Except for lately, I’m not always sure what exactly I’m worried about and sleep is often elusive. I started to think about doing that myself. Thigns that I hide about myself, things that might make me feel better if I get them out into the open air. The (Current) Wish List (in no particular order). 6 Have a decent garden.

Ramblings Of A California Couponer

Ramblings Of A California Couponer. Wednesday, January 11, 2017. I was attracted to Because You're Mine by Colleen Coble for two reasons (okay, three): the cover (it's stunning, attractive, and bold); the fact that the main character's name is Alannah (I have a 9 year old daughter named Alannah); and the fact that it's a suspense novel, my favorite book genre. The back cover reads:. To make matters worse, Liam’s best friend survived the car bomb. She’s never really liked Jesse and now she...I received a ...

Ramblings of a carnivore

Ramblings of a carnivore. Monday, 30 September 2013. If, a little while back, someone had told me I should ingest more ATP to improve my performance I certainly would have reacted with disbelief. It sounds like eating chlorophyll in order to give my cells more oxygen (it is not how it works). After some smaller studies and some theorizing in media and science journals, a member over at Paleohacks asked the following question in 2012:. Total Marketing Hype or the Next Big Performance Supplement? So in thi...
