ramblings of a chronic dabbler

Ramblings of a chronic dabbler. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. This was supposed to be easier. Jason and I are reading the Game of Thrones series right now (when we're not up to our elbows in paint), and the Stark family motto is "Winter is Coming." If we had a motto, right now it would be "This was supposed to be easier." Or something more poetic, but along the same lines. Editor's note: We really should have seen this one coming, after we had our light box in the kitchen removed and replaced with recessed l...

ramblings of a chronic dabbler: April 2010

http://ramblingsofachronicdabbler.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Ramblings of a chronic dabbler. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. As my Uncle Rob reminded me tonight it's been forever since I last wrote and I have some serious updating to do. The biggest activity I've been dabbling in lately is filing tax returns. So you can imagine that filing other people's taxes might not be an activity I would pursue. But you'd be wrong. I haven't been audited yet, so I think I can say it's been a successful adventure :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

ramblings of a chronic dabbler: thrill-seeker and secret-keeper

http://ramblingsofachronicdabbler.blogspot.com/2012/04/thrill-seeker-and-secret-keeper.html

Ramblings of a chronic dabbler. Tuesday, April 3, 2012. These are two attributes I wouldn't generally assign to myself but a weekend not long ago proved that I might be a little more adventurous than I thought. My boyfriend, Jason, and I planned a trip to Las Vegas for his birthday. Shortly after we booked the tickets, I started brainstorming fun ways we could celebrate. Inspiration struck about a month before we left and gave me a huge secret to keep. The week before our trip I had dreams about skydivin...

ramblings of a chronic dabbler: November 2009

http://ramblingsofachronicdabbler.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Ramblings of a chronic dabbler. Sunday, November 22, 2009. Cooking My Way to Thanksgiving, Part One. I'm not a bad cook. I like spending time in the kitchen. But mostly I only enjoy successful cooking endeavors. I have three recipes I could make blindfolded: chocolate chip cookies, homemade mac and cheese and homemade pizza dough. Every now and then I'll try something new. Sometimes I don't read the recipe thoroughly or I forget an ingredient (who knew how important baking powder is in some recipes?

ramblings of a chronic dabbler: I'm a bad blogger

http://ramblingsofachronicdabbler.blogspot.com/2011/05/im-bad-blogger.html

Ramblings of a chronic dabbler. Sunday, May 1, 2011. I'm a bad blogger. I know it would appear from the outside, that blogging has become one of my many hobbies that has fallen by the wayside, but I've made a promise to myself to keep this going. I haven't been trying many new things lately, so I'm switching gears with the blog and I plan on blogging whatever fancies me. My first post will be something I started a little while ago but forgot about. Thanks for sticking around and reading! Im a bad blogger.

Ramblings of a Christian College Student | Thoughts and feelings of today's Christian society

Ramblings of a Christian College Student. Thoughts and feelings of today's Christian society. January 27, 2014. This blog started as a place for me to hash my ideas and opinions on things. It started as a place for me to have a voice, somewhere I wouldn’t have to censor myself and could have my thoughts, ideas, and opinions heard. Lately, I’ve been censoring what I say on here even. I’ve found myself wondering, how much is too much? When have I said too much, when have I censored too much? I wish I had a...

Ramblings of a Civil War Fanatic. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Two Looks at 19th Century Mourning. Despite being universal, historians have largely overlooked the material culture of death in nineteenth-century America. True, death is not one of the “glamorous” historical topics. But to fully understand the values and outlook of nineteenth-century Americans a serious discussion of death is required. Bernadette Loeffel Atkins’s.
