Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Race Report for El Vaquero Loco 25K. Well I have not kept up on this blog in such a long time, but I think about posting all the time. :) I will never promise that I will post more because I don't know if that will be possible. But I did participate in my first trail race so I thought I would post some comments on it. Looking back at some of the trail that I had come on. I know that it looks relatively flat but trust me it is an optical illusion on this photo. I'm a normal perso...

Lori Metcalf Dolls: March 2012
http://lorimetcalfdolls.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 16, 2012. Here are some picture of the casting process for this sculpture. First we removed the plaster outer mold. Then carefully separated the silicone mold, making sure that is didn't rip. This picture shows the two mold pieces resting on the plaster pieces. I removed any clay that was stuck in the deeper creases of her hair. So after a few layers of resin we filled the rest of the mold with expandable foam, and boy did it expand! Last but not least is the plaster layer. I can't believe ...

Sunday, August 21, 2011. Boston and Back. and other things. So we knew we were going to need to drive 10-12 hours a day to be able to get to Boston and start setting up the apartment before my son’s wife flew in with the babies and her mom. The first day across Wyoming seemed to be endless miles of rolling green velvet hills. Seriously it looked like velvet to me! We ended day one in Lincoln Nebraska, hot and muggy and limitless corn fields was all I can remember about Nebraska. On to Boston… my so...
