Lundi 6 juillet 2015. Murder mysteries, Fairies, Flappers and Platypuses. It's been a while, hasn't it? Doesn't mean I haven't been busy in the sewing room! I'm almost down with our Regency wardrobes (will post about that more eventually). I've also been doing more costumed events recently. In the last month or so, we did a 1895 murder mystery night, and last weekend I hosted a 1920's party. Here are a few pics of my adventures! I even added tiny seashells for the cups! I didn't make that dress though, I...

Made with a vintage embroidered silk sari. And this is my dress for the wedding. I'll be wearing it with t-strap 23Skidoo American duchess shoes. It's made with handkerchief linen and topped with beautiful white lace I got on Etsy. My last day dress! It is actually the first regency bonnet I made! Have a nice day! Ths blog is to share...

Lundi 30 mars 2015. A Regency Spencer and a Fantasy Corset. Here's what I've been working on recently. The first thing is a golden yellow regency spencer I made for my Mum to wear at the next Jane Austen festival in Bath (Yes, we'r really going! The second one is a cute green and gold corset inspired by Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Here are a few pics:. As for the corset (or more like a laced bodice, really) I was inspired by Princess Fiona's bodice from Shrek the musical. Have a nice day! Ths bl...

Jeudi 28 mai 2015. I posted recently about a green corset I made that was inspired by the costume of Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical. Well, I had some green cotton gauze left, and I decided to make a dress to go underneath. I basically made a regency drawstring dress, but with a tight zigzag edge on the skirt and sleeves, and with a shorter skirt. With the corset on top, it really looks great! And this is how it looks like without the corset. sorry for the bad picture. Have a nice day! I've also been...

Mardi 26 août 2014. A Regency Day Dress and Spencer. I'm going to the Jane Austen festival in Bath, England next month! It was kind of a last minute decision, but I still had to get ready and bring at least a few costumes. I'll be bringing my white regency dress, but I still needed proper underthings, at least one other dress and something to keep me warm (apparently its super cold in the UK right now). I made the spencer with the Sense and Sensibility pattern, re-udes the wool, lining and cuffs but used...
