Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer

Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer. April 13, 2011. The Jungle Has Been Tamed. Seriously, this yard project has taken every single minute of almost every single weekend for the past month and a half. Not to mention cost us a pretty penny as well. But something needed to be done and we are very happy with the results. This is what we were working with before:. See that bushy little green palm on the left? That guy was right there in front the whole time but unnoticeable with that backdrop of chaos behind him!

Dig It | Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer

https://ramblingsofawannabediyer.wordpress.com/2011/03/18/dig-it

Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer. March 18, 2011. Oh how I’ve wanted one of these for ages. I’m a sucker for some purdy glaze. But I’d probably end up using this inside as a small side table. Or maybe the front porch for a punch of color. Or maybe the back deck. Oh dear, maybe I’ll have to get one in every color. So ridiculously expensive and I have no idea where I’d put it in the yard but a girl can dream, right? Wishful thinking once again. Can you tell that I want to make the backyard an outdoor oasis?

Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer. March 28, 2011. Unfortunately (for him) I don’t know how to drive a manual transmission so he got to do all of the driving while I annoyingly navigated (and told him where to park)…bad habit of mine. While in Fort Myers we visited Sanibel Island and got stuck in traffic everywhere we went. oops, it was Spring Break too. Osprey in its nest:. On our last night there we headed to the baseball game to see Bob’s team (the Red Sox) play the Yankees. Laquo; Our Backyard. You are co...

Ramblings of a Wannabe DIYer. The event that started the craftiness! Weddings are expensive. I had no idea how much so until I started researching all of our options shortly after becoming engaged. I am sorry to every person who’s wedding I attended and barely took notice of the details! Fine Need the same exact tablecloth for a wedding? So here are some pictures of the big day and some of the things I crafted for it. I’ll try to explain where I can:. Apparently the color printing was mucho dinero and I ...

Tune In, Turn Off, Drop In – Engaging the Material to Engage the Self

Tune In, Turn Off, Drop In – Engaging the Material to Engage the Self. Tuesday, 12 March 2013. And so it begins. I've been writing this book of mine for a little over a year now and I realized that I needed to get parts of it out here in a blog to keep the writing juices flowing and to make sure that I am not out to lunch with my ideas. To start things out, here is the basic introduction to what this book is about:. I have read many works that urge us to “get back to the land” or to “le...Instead of remo...

Wandering Sheep

Living Faith - Implications for ministry. This week, for Urban Ministry, our required reading was from Living Faith: How Faith Inspires Social Justice. By Curtiss Paul DeYoung. I found this book to be a rather compelling read about the ways in which religious faith (notice: not based on faith tradition! Helps to inform and lead to action in matters of justice and equality. But DeYoung points out that it isn’t just. Called to be Radical Welcome-ers. Who is in the neighborhood? Think in terms of social cla...

Monday, May 25, 2015. My stay at home mom dreams came true last week when I accompanied Little m on her first ever field trip with her preschool class. Big yellow bus included! Is a really cool website and app that makes it, dare I say, effortless to find a babysitter. As soon as I found out that M had to be out of town, I logged into UrbanSitter. And now, back to the field trip! If you have little kids and have never heard of Elephant and Piggie. S Elephant and Piggie show. The play itself was really cu...

Ramblings of a Wanna-Be. Sunday, November 10, 2013. I Love The Way You Love Me. She would arch in his arms, instinctively giving him even better access to her chest. He would nuzzle the sweet valley between her two breasts, bestowing a kiss or two there before turning his attention to her other breast. She would scream for him before they were done. Sunday, April 7, 2013. Untitled, Chapter 5. 8220;May I walk you to your door? 8221; he asked her, offering his hand to her to help her out of the car. Sh...

Ramblings of a Wannabe Kiwi

Ramblings of a Wannabe Kiwi. Besides my family and my business, I have two blinding passions in life - traveling and New Zealand (which go hand in hand considering that I live in Australia). Now I know a lot of Kiwis long to live here, but this little Aussie would do anything to move across the ditch. They say home is where the heart is, and my heart is definately in Queenstown, New Zealand. Sunday, June 28, 2009. Day 3 - Queenstown and Arrowtown. Lake side - Queenstown. My 3 beautiful children, Arrowtown.

Books, ramblings, and plenty of shenanigans. Keeper of the Lost Cities. Let the Sky Fall. Monday, August 10, 2015. I'm currently juggling not one but TWO deadlines, so to say my brain's a bit mushy is a total understatement. BUT, somehow I still managed to put together a quick giveaway to celebrate the release of EVERBLAZE in paperback (details HERE. And I made an attempt at this week's MMGM.
