Saturday, October 17, 2009. General anaesthetic, my 14 year old daughter dreamt that she had died. She came to in a different place to the place where she was put under and cried out to be woken up. I was sat down the corridor and recognised her voice straight away, and I don't think I will ever forget the depth of the terror in her scream. Saturday, December 26, 2009. A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum. St Peter's was visited, nobody in our party attacked any man in a dress, although I did repress the urge to poke my tongue out at a monk on more than one occassion. The Spanish steps were numerous, they went up AND down, which was nice. But hey, listen, I'm looking forward to next year, I'm hopeful for us all, not sure why but sometimes this optimism just has to be accepted. Special wishes to Sav, Ister, Romo, Bob and Stray.
