Monday, September 14, 2009. The Colt takes the checkered flag! What a great weekend! While the Colt didn't win the race, she ran the entire race only off track for driver changes and fueling. How far did 68HP get us? 13th place in our class (the "bad" class) and I believe 30th overall. She completed 497 laps with a fastest time of 1:05.6, courtesy of Quinn. Chris and Mike will be at the next monthly meeting too. I promise. We have a few extra items that we will be selling from our pit at the track. I leave you with a few specs on our beloved Colt E. As you know, the team for the last race was Mike (captain), Chris, Jeff, Phil and Quinn. Phil and Quinn have decided to retire from crap-can racing. Saturday, May 9, 2009. Meet the Fiat Colt E. While perusing my favorite automotive news site, Jalopnik. I found out that we Lab rats will no longer be racing our Dodge Colt E. Instead we will now be sporting our Fiat. Colt E. It appears that in light of the Chrysler bankruptcy, and the Fiat acquisition, the powers that be at Lemons HQ have decided to rebadge all Chrysler products as Fiats. Sunday, July 26, 2009. So Chris and I worked on Friday night. Phil was at the dirt track races and Jeff was with his girl. So what did Chris and I do? Drank beer (well Coke for me). It appears that converting the front brakes to 1.6 turbo jobs may not happen. Chris has called two companies to order the calipers and both have been out of stock. Forever.
