Had a short but successful career which includes the 1950 Mille Miglia victory. Engine: Front, longitudinal, 2341 cc V12. Transmission: RWD, 5 speed manual. Power: 170 bhp @ 7000 rpm. No built: 5 (2 Berlinetta's and 3 Barchetta's by Touring. But only one was built from scratch, the rest were converted from 166 Mille Miglia's). 195 S Touring Barchetta. Kick Start On SSIS.

Its performance was not as successful as the 125 thus retired in the end of 1947 giving way to the 166 series. Two 159 S cars were built; one was the second 125 which was upgraded to a 159 and the second was built from scratch (this wont the Turin Grand Prix in October 1947). These were times where customers were very demanding of both the performance and luxury when the 166 Inter arrived. Being Ferrari's first Grand Tourer* the 166 Inter came out with a new coupe by Touring. Touring also produced berlinetta's for it. Bodies were also designed by coachbuilders Ghia (a single white coupe), Stabilimenti Farina and Vignale (coupe's and berlinetta's both). Transmission: RWD, 5 speed manual.
