acd6pack: March 2015
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. With the recent storms and winds, we had a big snowdrift against the window. Of course it was the window that is most popular for looking out. The drift measured 16.5 inches high from the bottom of the window. It was very difficult to see outside, even for Trail. Labels: Australian Cattle Dogs. Saturday, March 28, 2015. The main difficulty we had was keeping the back doorway cleared so that the dogs could get out. Of c...

acd6pack: September 2014
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Monday, September 29, 2014. We have been having some fantastic weather as we enter into fall. There have been many sunny and warm days, perfect for those trips to the beach. For some reason, once again, we were the only ones on the beach. It might be due to the fact that we live on an island and there are so many beaches available. No complaints from us! There was evidence of other critters near the beach but we didn't see anything. As you can see...

acd6pack: Feeling better
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2015/07/feeling-better.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Friday, July 31, 2015. Hiker's neck/spine issues have been going on now for almost two months. She had a referral visit to the Atlantic Veterinary College Teaching Hospital last week and without further testing, there really isn't much that they could diagnose. Most likely, there is a compressed disc in her neck although they cannot rule out the possibility of a lesion on her spine. Gathering things in her crate. Hiker and her gorilla. I think if ...

acd6pack: The door and being normal.
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-door-and-being-normal.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Monday, August 10, 2015. The door and being normal. Sometimes, although I try not to, I do feel a bit sorry for the blind girls Hiker and Brook. Probably more for Brook since her hearing is so poor. Here is an example. The door to the living room was closed to keep the cats in since the outside door was open for the dogs. Brook could hear the cat on the other side of the door, but which door? Other than that, she's normal. Bella Roxy and Macdui.

acd6pack: April 2015
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Labels: Australian Cattle Dogs. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. With some warmer temperatures finally arriving and the snow melting, there has been a new critter hanging around. Luckily the dogs have not noticed it. There is still a large pile of snow on the other side of the fenced area towards the woods and this critter was in that area. Labels: Australian Cattle Dogs. Thursday, April 23, 2015. A nice change from this:. Our w...

A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Friday, August 28, 2015. Our blind girl Hiker has now had three sessions of acupuncture and if there is an acupuncture fan club, we would be card carrying members! Looking at Hiker now it is amazing to see the improvement. From a dog who was in severe pain and had difficulty moving, to a dog that was on four medications.to a dog that is now off all medications and is playing and goofing around. All in a short three weeks! Wednesday, August 26, 2015.

acd6pack: January 2015
http://acd6pack.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A pack of rescued, blind and deaf Australian Cattle Dogs. Saturday, January 31, 2015. And watched her turn around ever so casually and walk the other way as if she wasn't planning to do anything. Rather than close the door to the living room, it is easier to have an old baby gate in place. This allows the cats to come through and prevents the dogs from going upstairs to the litter box and cat food. Brook is especially fond of cat kibbles and tries her best to get through the gate. As you can imagine, som...
