Monday, October 17, 2011. The Alaska Quilt Exchange was in August. I had a tough time making a choice this time around, I waffled back and forth for days, weeks, and months. Finally I decided enough already, and sat down and made myself do a block and this is what I came up with. But, hey, it worked! Just a few of what the others in the group did:. Any of you remember Pres. Kimball's motto? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). April and May 2016. Mission Review - December 2015. Tales from the Trail.

Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Whittier, Alaska.or A Very Long Post on the History of a Teeny Tiny Town. The July 4th weekend found Rick and I with not a lot to do. The boys were hanging out with friends and working, so we took one of those days and made a little road trip to Whittier, Alaska. It is about a two hour drive south of us. We had heard a little about the Whittier tunnel so we thought we would just go check it out for ourselves. A pretty Alaskan picture. We really went to hike a few trails and get o...

Alaskan Wells Watching: Nome, AK
http://rewells.blogspot.com/2012/08/nome-ak.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. We arrived in Nome 30 minutes before church started, caught a ride with the B.P. and his wife, they dropped us off at the church and went home to get ready themselves. We walked into the building and waited for someone to come all the while listening to the Elders who live in the apartment above the chapel banging around.maybe they were doing exercises, finding a favorite tie, or their shoes. There are about 75 miles of road that can be driven three different ways out of town - i...

Alaskan Wells Watching: Our Missionary
http://rewells.blogspot.com/2012/05/our-missionary.html
Saturday, May 5, 2012. We had a great time in Utah. It is always good to be with family. I had initially planned to fly to Utah with him, spend a couple of days in Salt Lake and then drive him to the MTC. It was an ongoing battle with myself of whether to go - stay - go - stay. In the end we said our good-byes to him at the Anchorage airport. It was easier knowing that he had brothers and a sister that wanted to be there for him when he got off the plane. Alaskan Wells Watching: October 2010

Saturday, October 9, 2010. In September I went on a little two day jaunt with three friends from our ward to Seldovia. Usually when ladies get together for a getaway, shopping is involved, but considering that we live close to the largest "shopping mecca" in Alaska, that was not our main goal. We just wanted to do something so we picked a trip to Seldovia. Cherrie, Jodie, and Nancee. The bishop just told me he refers to us as the old ladies group. Ha! We spent the night at the Harbor Inn. It was nice to ...
