Martinique, January 2000. The island's a nice size - about 15-20 miles across east-west and about 50-60 miles across north-south. Small enough that you can wrap your arms around it but large enough that there's plenty to explore. There's a spine of volcanic mountains running up the middle of the island. Lost on Purpose

August 25, 2009. Well, the cross-country road trip has ended. It is definitely a bitter sweet feeling. I loved every moment of the trip but it's always nice to be home.
