The end of a month long celebration of summer (and what a summer it has been! The show was amazing. I've never seen anything like it! Of course one of the boats right off shore was blaring "Highway to the Danger Zone" from Top Gun so that brought back some memories! Now I really am oh so close to losing it! ALWAYS wear crocs or some sort of sandal to the beach.

Notes from the great nw. Thursday, January 1, 2009. After the Happy New Year post I realized that I haven't done a post about Christmas! We were stuck at home again for the entire week of Christmas but had lots of fun spending all day in our jammies, sledding and building a snowman! In case you were wondering, those are bottlecaps all over our snowman's mid-section. Very artsy and creative! We decorated cookies for santa and opened a couple of presents the night before Christmas. What fun that was!

Then Brian or I tear off the seal that is under to plastic lid and we ARE NOT to mix up the potatoes for him as his next step in this ritual is to look at the sweet potatoes with the seal just ripped off and call out (very loudly I might add) what animal it looks like in there to him.
