Sky lanterns have been used in Asian cultures for centuries. They were created around the 3rd century and are said to be the first hot air balloon. If you get plain white lanterns, you can even have participants paint them as a response to the message of the gathering. Watch this video by Jonny Baker. Right now, today, I think I'm using it as a bit of an excuse as to why you haven't heard from me in such a long time. Here in Winnipeg, winter (or winter-like weather), is our longest running season pretty much every year. This year we've broken records not for coldest temperatures, but for how long. I Like to Read.
