Letter to Memphis: The Adventures of SuperLiz

http://www.readaredletter.blogspot.com/2006/10/adventures-of-superliz_28.html

Saturday, October 28, 2006. The Adventures of SuperLiz. She's well known for her laser eyes and power of flight, but her penchant for partying and ability to conjure beer at a moment's notice is a little known fact. After delivering a baby and solving three crimes with the help of her plucky cape and sharp wit, SuperLiz attended the pirates vs. ninjas party. Shenanigans ensued, including the corporate insurance pirate attempting the vulcan death grip upon the hapless minnesotan. Posted by Liz at 4:53 PM.

Letter to Memphis: Glad that I'm not soluble

http://www.readaredletter.blogspot.com/2006/11/glad-that-im-not-soluble.html

Friday, November 03, 2006. Glad that I'm not soluble. But miracle of miracles, i looked today and the red no had been changed to a happy black yes, and i'm free from the reign of grammatical tyranny that is the czech language. jsem svobodna! The course is closed. is there hope of a waitlist? But i came out relatively unscathed with minimal cursing this time around. mainly because i'm taking the attitude of "who cares? Oh yes, by the time i finish at UT, i'll have a BS in something.

Posted by Liz at 1:15 PM. Saturday, November 25, 2006. The next option is the safe one. Get a job. But oh, that’s kind of hard, so let’s move on to the next. There’s the amazing internship in. The other option that I've come up with is to become an au pair down in. Ken met a family with two children in. Who knows. most lik...

Paradise Unknown: May 2011

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 14, 2011. Long time, No post. Also, I was the chair for Poverty Banquet- a dinner to raise awareness about global poverty levels, the way natural disasters affect the impoverished, and to give information about a local company called Breedlove Foods Inc here in Lubbock. They're really great- take unused produce from surrounding potato farms, dehydrate it, mix it into quite tasty meals (yeah, I bought some- so? Love it- can't wait to teach about something that makes me so incredibly motivated.

Paradise Unknown: August 2015

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 10, 2015. I have a favorite poem. Salutation of the Dawn. Attributed to Kalidasa. It's a poem from a Classical Sanskrit poet and dramatist who could capture the emotion of life with words far more precisely and succinctly than I dare try. It's been in my head that last few days and I can't help but think yet again of it's power to me on a day like today. Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life. Deep breaths. Let it pass. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Monday, May 05, 2014. There are so many stories to be told about Japan. My family fights dirty! Wrapping paper roll ninjas! On top of that, we were in JAPAN. We went to as many temples as possible. We ate as many different types of Japanese cuisine as possible. And we payed SO MUCH IN TOLLS. Seriously. The tolling is ridiculous. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Paradise Unknown: Life, updated.

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2015/05/there-have-been-so-many-changes-in-last.html

Sunday, May 24, 2015. There have been so many changes in the last year. from buying a house to graduating from medical school. becoming a real doctor with people's health outcomes depending on my decisions. entering into a relationship that surprised me but has one of the most gratifying and fulfilling parts of my life. there's just so much to share. What about when I am terribly wrong? What if I just keep messing up and don't become a good physician? Resident Retreat with my fellow FM peers.

Paradise Unknown: November 2011

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 28, 2011. My grandmother passed away last night. We put her on hospice and that was a fantastic experience, I'm surprised to say. The nurses were wonderful, they got everything we needed to us ON THANKSGIVING to make sure that we were taken care of when there were no real docs available. They helped my mom out immeasurably. I'm not really sure what else to say. I'm so stuck in Lubbock that I can't be there for mom. So please call her, make sure she knows she's supported. This...I also lo...

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 20, 2009. Scott, you're crazy. I did not write about it. So I'm writing about it now- I got my raise! Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Anyways- that was kind of an off subject- but I read this poem today and I don't want to forget this line:. There is no adventure in hesitation. Not the most attractive way to describe yourself. Gotta start working on that. Anyways- here's a little something to think about. Yay Texas. Thursday, August 13, 2009. Speaking of CRAZY- i work with these people. :).

Paradise Unknown: July 2011

http://mi-land.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 31, 2011. I've come to realize that I had the best of intentions to write an amazing update. I planned out how I wanted to do it, even picked the photos I thought were the best. I really actually believed I would complete this task. Then the reality of the weeks ticking away hit me. I never completed said post. School starts tomorrow and a big part of me knows I never will- not the one I wanted to, not the well-thought out, beautifully detailed post. It's just not going to happen. Stress rel...

Saturday, September 19, 2015. Seasonal Challenge October Challenge 2015. Every year I do an October challenge to get me in the spooky Halloween mood. I'm a little disappointed (a lot actually) that I'm so far behind on my GoodReads challenge. I know this year took a wild turn and I spent more time healing (though I'm sure it has more to do with time than anything). still I coulda read a novella or something!
