Wonderful Words from Students. Sep 4, 2014. I recently started teaching Wonder by R.J. Palacio to my 5th grade students. I am both thrilled and inspired by their reactions and insights to the characters, the story and of course Auggie himself. I want so share these thoughts with you. Statements like these remind me of why I went into this profession and why the use of literature is so powerful in the classroom.
