Mapping the Changing Affordability of London. Last night I discovered how many of my friends watch C4’s Dispatches. Since quite a few of them texted me to say that they had seen me talking about property affordability on “The Great British Property Divide”. The curtain closed on the first act of this drama in March 2014. By which time 91% of respondents to the consultation opposed the Land Registry’s transition to a service delivery company. Apparently, it wasn’t the overwhelming opposition from, well, everyone that scuppered the deal, it was Vince Cable. Continue reading →.

Dot Densifying a Canadian City. March 31st, 2015 Posted by edmanley. By way of a warm up to future blogging pleasures, I thought I’d post some mapping work I did for actual fun last year. As Christmas gifts for family I decided to make some custom maps of Winnipeg, Canada. Location not chosen randomly, they’re actually from there). Don’t know Winnipeg? Digital Urban: The Clockwork City

http://digitalurban.blogspot.com/2011/07/clockwork-city.html

The Clockwork City is an urban structure concept whereby entire districts move, thus negating the need for transport systems. Need to get to work? Wait 10 minutes until your work place moves into walking distance:. We really like the animation and communication of the concept by T0R0YD. Modelling was carried out in 3D Max with rendering via Mental Ray. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Holy cow, what would the energy and maintenance requirements be for something like this? The future is friendly bro. What about E...
