임원 및 학회 구성. 독서치료 분야의 이론을 개발하고, 새로운 연구동향을 살펴본다. 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 문학작품(책 및 신문과 잡지의 기사 등 인쇄자료, 영화 드라마 다큐멘터리 광고 뮤직비디오 등의 영상자료, 노래 등의 음악자료, 사진 등 실물자료 등)에 대한 분석을 실시합니다. 독서치료는 치료적 정보가 담긴 매체를 읽어내는 과정입니다. 따라서 적정 문학작품을 찾아 분석하는 일 역시 가장 기본적이면서도 반드시 필요한 활동입니다. 왜냐하면 독서치료사는 독서치료 프로그램의 운영자이자 문학작품과 치료 대상자의 중개자 역할을 하는 사람이고, 독서치료의 핵심은 자료에 있기 때문입니다. 분석을 마친 자료를 바탕으로 대상별 유형별 독서치료 프로그램을 개발합니다. 우리 사회 모든 구성원들은 치료를 필요로 하고 있으므로, 독서치료 프로그램 개발은 향후 여러 장면에서 두루 쓰일 것입니다.

임원 및 학회 구성. 임원 및 학회 구성. 인간은 독서를 통하여 삶에 필요한 지식과 정보를 얻는 것은 물론, 여가를 즐기며 기쁨을 얻을 수 있고, 삶에 대한 성찰을 통하여 올바른 인간으로 성장할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 수 있었기 때문에 독서를 매우 중요한 활동으로 인식해 왔습니다. 그러나 과학기술의 발전에 따라 성장한 여러 매체들을 통해 독서 활동을 통해 얻을 수 있는 정보의 양보다 훨씬 더 많은 정보를 쉽고, 때로는 재미있게 얻을 수 있게 되면서 독서 활동 대신 텔레비전이나 컴퓨터, 스마트 폰 등을 애용하게 되었고, 앞으로 그 비중은 더 커질 것이라고 봅니다. 따라서 현 시점이야말로 올바른 인성교육을 할 수 있는 독서교육의 중요성을 재삼 인식하고 발전시켜 나가기 위한 노력을 경주해야 할 때라고 봅니다. 하지만 중요성만을 외치는 구호는 공허한 메아리에 그칠 수 있습니다. 보다 더 실천적이고 세부적인 방안들을 마련해 사람들에게 다가갈 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 할 것입니다.
