Reading on a Rainy Day: She's Here! (Plus Birth Story)
http://www.readingonarainyday.com/2015/07/shes-here-plus-birth-story.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Shreya, at 8 lbs 1 oz and 21.5" tall, was born on July 20, after a very long labor. Already, she's slightly older than a week and I have become depressingly aware that time is going to fly and she is not going to be the same little peanut that she was even a week ago. Smirk shaking my head. At the hospital, they told me that I was at 3.5. A whole day of laboring and that's where I was. I actually asked the nurse if she was sure. Surprisingly, they decided to admit...Until that po...

Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Girl Waits With Gun. Blue is the Warmest Color. A pair of fingerless mitts. On true equality and perceived equality. The joy of bookstore hopping. How will we fare in a dystopian world? When was the last time I read a book without distractions? What audiobooks not to listen to. I will miss you.

Reading on a Rainy Day: From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess by Meg Cabot
http://www.readingonarainyday.com/2015/05/from-notebooks-of-middle-school.html
From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess by Meg Cabot. Thursday, May 21, 2015. The first thing you'll have to learn, Olivia, if you're going to get this princess thing right, is how to take a compliment. When someone says something nice to you, don't put yourself down. Just say 'thank you.' Try it.". I am a big fan of the Princess Diaries. But it ties up very closely with the original Princess Diaries. I always think I should read more middle grade books but I never seem to. Middle grade books ...

English Major versus the World. A Sci-Fi and Fantasy Review Blog. On the Rating System. Book Reviews: Main List and Stats Comparisons. Thursday, March 8, 2012. Book Review: Moby Dick. Herman Melville. Paperback, 672 pages. Is, simply put, the kick-assiest of the Great American novels. http://andanotherbookblog.blogspot.com/2016/06/monat-update.html
The good, bad and sometimes ugly thoughts and ramblings of a bored single mom. A Misty Dimness Soap. Friday, June 3, 2016. I'm over due posting this. Surprised anyone? As always a huge problem for me is that I want to write 100 page essays about EVERYTHING, and I get stuck in editing mode. Moving on. I signed up for VIP, used up all the samples that my "new best friend" gave me. I wound up using my commercial conditioner once, otherwise I have been using only Monat since May 1. Repeat every other day.

Reading on a Rainy Day
A Window Opens by Elisabeth Egan. Thursday, August 13, 2015. I'm not sure of your belief system - Georgie says she is "Half Jewish, half Christmas.". Isn't exactly my kind of book. I generally try to stay away from books focusing on the do-it-all or have-it-all kind of woman, because they can be quite depressing and unrealistic to read. But for some reason, I accepted this book for review - maybe my pregnancy hormones contributed to that decision or this was just the read I was looking forward to. Later ...
