Reading and Rambling: August 2011

http://www.readingrambling.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 4, 2011. How long has it been? I can't believe how long it has been since I posted anything . oh dear, where to start? Perhaps I should go backwards. Tonight I have to find something new to read, as I have just finished Chris Womersley's. I really enjoyed this novel - I had started it a few times and kept putting down, but finally 'got into it'. It was certainly tragic and rather heartwarming, and one I recommend :). I have also recently read a young adult novel, The Visconti House.

Reading and Rambling: April 2011

http://www.readingrambling.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. A poet I am clearly not . I have commenced writing a new book: My Book of Lousy Poetry. So far it is disgustingly bad. I am fairly certain it will never be a best-seller; in fact it will probably never see the light of day. And yet it makes me laugh - or should I cry? No matter . I wonder how long this little whimsy will last? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A poet I am clearly not . View my complete profile. Travel template. Powered by Blogger.

Reading and Rambling: December 2013

http://www.readingrambling.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 22, 2013. 10 Things I Hate About Christmas Shopping. You know who they are; they come out of the woodwork at the start of December to clutter and wreak havoc on the roads. Yes, that’s them, the ones who drive slower than I can crawl backwards, whose indicators have disappeared into Narnia, and randomly cut across lanes with utter oblivion to anyone else … and, oh yes, those who drive the wrong way up one way streets. What the hell is with that? You’ve done your shopping, GO HOME! But no,...

The Sociology of Motherhood. Sunday, November 20, 2011. So it's been a long time between blogs! I do have one exam left though and it is my Sociology exam. It is a deferred exam as i was sick on the day and had to apply to sit it later. All the deferred exams are being held in December so i am about to get back into study again. The Sociology of Motherhood: On Turning 40 . . . Well . . . In 3 years

http://marandagraham.blogspot.com/2012/11/on-turning-40-well-in-3-years.html

The Sociology of Motherhood. Sunday, November 18, 2012. On Turning 40 . . . Well . . . In 3 years. I turned 37 yesterday. It's been a long time coming as I kind of skipped a year. For the whole year that I was 35 I thought I was 36. Which was fine and then when I had my 36th birthday I realised my mistake and began another year of being 36. After all, it only matters what is in your head, not what age you really are! So I feel like it has taken ages to be 37. But that's not what this post is about. What ...

The Sociology of Motherhood: December 2010

http://marandagraham.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

The Sociology of Motherhood. Monday, December 27, 2010. Ok, So i havn't blogged in quite some time! This is because we are coming to the end of probably the most stressful year of my life! It was a really hard year and at times i really felt like i was going insane - literally. I guess it's because i had a new baby to take care of, only taking 8 weeks off when i had him, working over 40 hours a week and organising 5 children with a husband who was working (AT LEAST) 12 hours a day! Well hopefully. &#...

The Sociology of Motherhood: July 2010

http://marandagraham.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

The Sociology of Motherhood. Monday, July 5, 2010. So before i do my post about Makayla. Going in order of age) I want to share this pic. It is one of my favourite photos of the kids. It was taken on Heaths iphone. Hence the poor quality, its no SLR. We were trying to sneak a weird photo on to his phone so he would get a surprise when he went into it at work. I just said 'everyone do a crazy face' and viola! Unfortunately, it was taken before we had Asha. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Aaron King Oval.

The Sociology of Motherhood: March 2013

http://marandagraham.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

The Sociology of Motherhood. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. A Family Favourite: Baked Beef and Cheesy Risotto. So anyway, we thought that this one looked good and decided to try it. The very next night (this is a few years ago btw). Turns out, we loved it and so did the kids! Method: I basically follow this except that i poke the cheese cubes down into the rice. My little helper for chopping up the herbs and onion. He quickly discovered that the onions hurt his eyes so we came up with this solution. I get a ...

The Sociology of Motherhood: Christmas Cheer and New Beginnings!!

http://marandagraham.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-cheer-and-new-beginnings.html

The Sociology of Motherhood. Friday, December 21, 2012. Christmas Cheer and New Beginnings! So it hasn't been quite as big a gap between posts! However, as usual I have been very busy. As many of you may know, Thursday was my very last day of Family Day Care EVER after 15 years! Now one might think that I would be feeling regret about my decision in the lead up to my final day. But let me tell you the truth of such things. It was an answer to a prayer! Am I freaking out about the change? It was worth it ...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Af Marie Lu er fortsættelsen til The Young Elites.

I had read Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness.
