Statement of Belief | Reading Red Letters
http://readingredletters.com/statement-belief
Lindsey’s Prayer List. To me, one of the most useful things in the Book of Common Prayer. Is the Nicene Creed. 8211; it states exactly what I believe in a way that is simple, yet still beautiful. So, I will repeat it here in as my Statement of Belief:. We believe in one God,. The Father, the Almighty,. Maker of heaven and earth,. Of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,. The only Son of God,. Eternally begotten of the Father,. God from God, Light from Light,. And was made man.

I’m going to participate this year! I figure at the very least it will be educational:. And tagged Ash Wedneday. Man, my pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. Were VERY yummy tonight!

All things in moderation, right? | Reading Red Letters

Lindsey’s Prayer List. All things in moderation, right? As I mentioned previously. This year for Lent I’m taking on the discipline of being mindful. I mentioned that I’m not 100% sure what this was going to look like, and that I’m open to adjusting the practice as Lent progresses, but my starting points were removing the social media apps from my phone, no television/movies aside from a planned activity with friends or while I was exercising, and daily quiet times. Lindsey’s Prayer List. Archive for the tag “dc”. The three great church fathers, Saints Gregory, John Chrysostom, and Basil, lived in the fourth century and advocated the doctrine of the Trinity. Icon of the three hierarchs, probably Thessaloniki, first half of 14th century, tempera and gold on wood, Athens, Byzantine and Christian Museum. Last weekend my mom and I took a very impromptu trip to Washington, DC. We had two goals: see the Heaven and Earth exhibit. Salt of the earth. Women in the Bible.

READING REFORM - eezy-spel
Though it's seldom mentioned, one of the main causes of America’s high illiteracy rate is our convoluted spelling. It costs us billions every year, not to mention the frustration and suffering of non-readers, and their inability to fully participate in our society. Reforming our spelling consists of three things:. Getting rid surplus letters that serve no purpose. Using the right letters for each sound. Most importantly, establishing an easily learned way to distinguish between long and short vowels.

When life gets a bit tough, when the waters rise and the drowning torment of negative surprise is overwhelming. the unforeseen, the unanticipated storms, the fiery darts wound too deep. my shield arises to protect, the narrow path- the tunnel of protection surrounds me as a hedge. i may be shaken and sifted, refined with fire but never destroyed. Gold is brilliant and precious. Tuesday, 28 February 2012. What if life was a fairy tale?
