lj's review stew: REVIEW POLICY
http://ljsreviewstew.blogspot.com/p/review-policy.html
Like the title implies, my approach to reading is similar to how I (usually) cook: take a whole bunch of different things, let sit for awhile, enjoy! I absolutely adore reviewing books and I especially enjoy reading:. I would like to say thanks to anyone considering me as a reviewer. Still interested? Here's some more info:. Books from publishers will be a first priority (. I try to review new books within 3 weeks). Books that I review are rated from 1 to 5. Still need more info? Eats shoots and leaves.

Like the title implies, my approach to reading is similar to how I (usually) cook: take a whole bunch of different things, let sit for awhile, enjoy! Hey ya'll (that's right I said it! I'm LJ, a 31 year old elementary school teacher and mom, who loves to read EVERYTHING (well, except for religious propaganda, self-help - especially diet fads, etc). I usually lean towards biographies, memoirs and other non-fiction, but I'm trying to branch out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). BOTTOM SHELF = Not my cup of tea.

Like the title implies, my approach to reading is similar to how I (usually) cook: take a whole bunch of different things, let sit for awhile, enjoy! BOOK GRIPE - Overly Lengthy Novels. Just putting it out there. Why oh why are books so long now? Don't get me wrong, I love reading, and since I've been off work, I've been getting A LOT of it done. But even with my (considerable) amount of free time, I still abhor needing to pump some iron just to be able to hold my book up. Currently, I'm reading. Takes th...

Once Upon a Time: April 2009
http://kidzbooknook.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
There is nothing juvenile about children's literature. Monday, April 20, 2009. Is there a politically correct way to abandon a book? Why do I feel guilty when I want to stop reading a book? It's a free country, right? No one is forcing me to read this book. What if I'm just way too bored? What if the content is offensive to me? What if I have to talk myself into picking it up just to get through it? Aren't those valid reasons for abandoning a book? What if it's a top seller? Shouldn't I finish it then?

Super intelligent, precocious, and their extra special talents tend to peek through. How? When I get the opportunity to chat with any one of them. They become extremely interested in the process of writing. How is she doing it? I love that...

Monday, July 27, 2015. I love a good puzzle. Crosswords, logic puzzles, geocaching, room escapes - you name it, I'm there. So today, I present to you three middle-grade novels, all imbued with a great element of puzzliness.
