Reading With Andie

Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Linger Echoes by Erica Kiefer. She's broken with guilt. He harbors a chilling past. It's safer if they keep their distance . . . But, the echoes that linger connect them.". Lingering Echoes is easily one of my favorite books of the past year. It’s the kind of book that made me wish my commute were longer so I would have more time to continue reading. Allie’s story broke my heart; I felt her pain and struggles as she dealt with the memories she could no longer run from. Unfortunat...

Reading With Andie: Thanksgiving by Ellen Cooney

http://readingwithandie.blogspot.com/2014/03/thanksgiving-by-ellen-cooney-tracks.html

Monday, March 17, 2014. Thanksgiving by Ellen Cooney. Thanksgiving by Ellen Cooney tracks the Morley family throughout 350 years of Thanksgivings. Told through the perspective of generations of Morley women, the reader is able to follow the family as it grows and changes throughout the centuries. We are able to see how traditions develop and change. Each chapter skips ahead several years glossing over major changes in the family, which we become aware of throughout the chapter. I would rate this.

Reading With Andie: Far Alaska by Mason Smith

http://readingwithandie.blogspot.com/2013/01/far-alaska-by-mason-smith.html

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Far Alaska by Mason Smith. I'm not sure exactly what to say about this book because to me it didn't really seem as though much happened. I finished the book but I'm still not even too sure what the plot was. At first it took me a while to really not be bothered by the writing style with its grammatical errors and short sentences, eventually I got over it but still didn't love the novel. Reading With Andie: July 2010

Thursday, July 29, 2010. And One Last Thing by Molly Harper Book Tour. If Singletree's only florist didn't deliver her posies half-drunk, I might still be married to that floor-licking, scum-sucking, receptionist nailing hack-accountant, Mike Terwilliger. Especially when a new neighbor comes into her life? I would give this 5 out of 5 stars. Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in return for my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own. Monday, July 26, 2010. A "novel cookbook" that com...

Reading With Andie: January 2013

http://readingwithandie.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Hiding in Sunshine by John and Caitlin Stuart. I loved this book! I hadn’t actually read the description ahead of time so I really had no idea what to expect and I enjoyed that complete element of surprise. From the beginning, I was hooked and couldn’t really stop reading, I NEEDED to know what was going to happen to this family. And even more shocked when they realize that they are being put in the Witness Protection Program for their own safety. Far Alaska by Mason Smith.

Red Bess Bonney: July 2010

http://redbessbonney-akasusan.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Red Bess Bonney: The Musings of an Artisan and SAHM. Friday, July 23, 2010. One afternoon we decided to go to Elephant Hall at the University of Nebraska. It's officially called Morrill Hall. But it's always been known as Elephant Hall. It was always a favorite spot of mine when I was a child - and I love the fact my son loves it now too! It's very similar to the Natural History Museum. After the museum, we took a little walk down the street to Memorial Stadium, home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers! Colin wa...

Reading With Alice

I ♥ Books. Monday, August 3, 2015. Wow What to say? Jen turano has a wellspring of talent and captivating wit that is hard to convey in a mere review! A befuddled and geeky heroine, a classy but oblivious hero, a slimy and infuriating villain, along with many hilarious and memorable friends and loveable children along the way. One of the most adorable Darcy/Lizzie duos in modern literature. Highly satisfying. I am beyond stoked for book 3. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Inspired by Grace Winner! I did feel th...

Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting – Edmund Burke. About – Contact – Review Policy. Adventures in reading – accidental corollaries. July 20, 2015. Hi again. I hope your summer is shaping up to be super awesome. I’ve been busy reading and learning how to play the ukulele and sort of kind of developing a business as a freelance copyeditor. Reading with Children

Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Reading to Babies Tip #1 - Establish a Routine. Babies thrive on routine and the familiar. They are learning so much every waking moment that anything that is familiar helps them relax. One thing of the first familiar things your baby experiences is your voice. He or she loves to listen to your voice, it is after all one of the few things in this bright new world of theirs that they also experienced during their time in the watery world of the womb. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Mmmmm Mmmm Mmmmm. Some Books Are Just "Finger Lickin' Good"! I was given the pleasure of reviewing two of Heather Long's books. They are part of Decadent Publishing's One Night Stand series. The One Night Stand Series is just as it sounds.only more. Let me just say that Heather reaches out and grabs your heart with this couple. Yes, there is a steamy scene and it delivers. Boy did it deliver. Give it a go and add the cranberries to the apple version as well! Cup all-purpose fl our.
