Wickedly primordial, visionary a psycho-spiritual reckoning.". Our Father in The Year of The Wolf. Read some of the book here. Our Father in the Year of the Wolf. Our Father in the Year of the Wolf. Is beautiful. But its beauty is its own: These poems refuse the easy richness of lyrical language while retaining the rhythms of lyrics of high intensity. These poems] have weight and body and funk, and they billow. When you read them you want to eat and scream, preen and sex. Read them where the thro...A han...

Under the Influence | Nancy Chen Long – Found Poetry Review 9
http://volumenine.foundpoetryreview.com/under-the-influence
Found Poetry Review 9. Poets in This Issue. Under the Influence Nancy Chen Long. December 28, 2015. January 4, 2016. Once upon a time the year I turned. Twenty a man impressed upon me. Me remember, he scrawled it across. My inner thigh in red, had me chant. The phrase for days until. The meaning of each word petrified. Into a pebble in my mouth, smooth. And righteous. Like a mouth. Full of rocks, the words together. Made no sense. I spit them out. Months later, under the influence. Query and I’ll decide.

This is where I do my bitching. Friday, August 15, 2014. Dear Famous Footwear: Consumerism doesn't solve bullying. Famous Footwear gives us (again, the adults who will be making the actual purchases) a hero. This hero is in the form of a bad ass young girl (and she is, she is truly bad ass) who. Tips the lunch lady. Then marches over to the cool kids' table (where sit replicas of characters from the movie. Props her feet up on the table,. Because if the truth were presented, that would help. That wou...

Consider this an addendum to my post titled "Reasons Why Mental Illness is Hell - A Guide for the Layperson," in particular an extension upon reason #6: Opinions. My problem is with the people who use what amount to scare tactics in regards to the effect that food can have on your health. 1) Everything in moderation. 2) This anxiety attack too shall pass. 3) Don't freak the hell out. This is where I do my bitching. Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Dear Jergens: Stop it. Apparently at least one person in your organization believes, and has managed to convince a substantial party of others, that a great majority of women are interested in obtaining the beauty equivalent of leprosy, rendering them social outcasts, shunned even by women they once counted as friends, hence this commercial. Jergens, you have been mislead about women, and I would like to disabuse you of your current notions.

This is where I do my bitching. Monday, December 15, 2014. I haven't consumed meat in 14 days. Here's why. Spoiler alert: My cat, Molly, passed away on December 1, 2014. This face. I miss it. I took her home, tried to keep her warm, put out small plates of food everywhere, and bowls of water everywhere else. She stumbled around, weak but pacing the floor like a dizzy old panther. Somehow, she recovered. Still, I hoped. My own heart recovered when she did. I delighted when she ate, and ate more. This is a...

This is where I do my bitching. Monday, April 28, 2008. It's been a while since I've posted a true misery diary entry. I've been avoiding this sort of bitchy meloncholia on purpose, choosing instead to focus on the positive through counting my blessings (see the category) and publishing some more creative writing (see those also). But it is high time that I let forth my complaints. Because it certainly isn't that I haven't had any. I've been saving them up. [Insert impish grin here.]. Cymbalta is, for me...

READ WRITE PUBLISH
READ WRITE PUBLISH is a conversation about the past, present and future of publishing. Never has publishing, as an activity, been so much part of our lives and never has publishing as an industry been so disconnected. But there is a new form of publishing emerging, one I have called Social Publishing, that invites readers to participate in the publishing process. READ WRITE PUBLISH is about Social Publishing but it is also a Social Publishing project: so I am inviting you to take part! Alternatively you ...
