Adventures in Open Adoption. October 21, 2016. My kid doesn’t sleep. And I don’t mean she. Doesn’t sleep or doesn’t nap. I mean she.does.not.sleep. And when she doesn’t sleep, we don’t sleep. And I cannot function without sleep. I’ve also been to countless appointments with doctors, therapists, specialists, school districts, and daycare. We are starting occupational therapy for her sensory issues next Monday. When the hell am I going to have time for therapy for me? Or time for me to even sit quietly and...

One year ago in his bouncy chair.

http://westallisbabyproject.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-new-year-and-end-to-baby-project.html
West Allis Baby Project. Much more than 40 weeks of stories. Sunday, January 20, 2013. A New Year and an End to the Baby Project. I didn't mean to go a month without blogging. But, it happened. Winter break was upon us at my last posting, and we left for a two week trip to Iowa, Chicago, and then back to Cincinnati to stay in a hotel for another six days until the lead abatement on our house was complete. Long, crappy story (the lead thing). And here we are over halfway through January. Cam stopped sleep...

Growing Toast | Connected Through Love
https://connectedthroughlove.wordpress.com/2016/01/29/growing-toast
Adventures in Open Adoption. January 29, 2016. After a rough week of working way too many hours, fighting off a cold, an ER visit for the baby, and a congested toddler who won’t sleep, I needed a good laugh. This morning, M was eating a piece of multi-grain toast with seeds on it. One of the seeds fell off and she cupped it gently in her hands, ran over to me and said, “Mommy! If we put this in the ground, put dirt on it, and water it, we can grow another toast! It still makes me laugh hours later. 🙂.

West Allis Baby Project. Much more than 40 weeks of stories. Saturday, December 15, 2012. Who Wants to Grow Up? Saw this today, and wondered how true it is. Turns out that PolitiFact. Breaks down the international data several ways:. The claim that] the "USA is #1 in gun violence" [is] only true if you compare the U.S. with other affluent nations on a per capita basis. This opinion article from the NY Times. Hit it right where it hurts:. I came to realize that, in essence, this is the way we in America w...

West Allis Baby Project: I Hate Lead
http://westallisbabyproject.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-hate-lead.html
West Allis Baby Project. Much more than 40 weeks of stories. Monday, May 14, 2012. Micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood). To make a long, worrisome story short, Weston's BLL is elevated. Anything over 10. Μg/dL is cause for concern, but after my hours and hours of researching lead poisoning on the Internet, there is no such thing as a safe BLL. We have an appointment at the lead clinic on Wednesday, and from there they'll walk us through what our next steps are. How did he get this? Ready To Be A Mom.

A couple of weeks ago, we took a little family vacation to the Red River Gorge. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
