Capturing Snippets of Life. Thursday, December 1, 2011. I'm in a group of stay-at-home mommies, and this year we decided to make one of our meetings at the local pumpkin patch. I figured that, since we would be there anyway, we might as well make it a photo shoot day! The mommies graciously agreed, so we had a fall picture party of sorts! My beautiful friend Jackie graduated from FSU with a PhD in August, and I could not think of a better way to honor her and her accomplishments than to do a photo shoot for her and her husband before they moved away to their new jobs. Thankfully, she agreed, so Jackie and Eric took me to FSU to do some on location pictures. Sorry, I couldn't resist putting a new twist on my classic wedding bouquet pose! We are so proud of everything you've accomplished!

But then I got consumed with editing photos from my church's Halloween photo booth, and then I got consumed with editing something else and.you get the picture! This is the second year that my moms' group has met at a local pumpkin patch so that I can take shots of all the babies and the pumpkins!

One of my favorite parts of photography is building relationships with families I otherwise would never get to meet! I have not done a lot of weddings lately, but when I was contacted by the sister of one of my previous brides to see if I could shoot her wedding, I was thrilled to have the opportunity! Capturing Snippets of Life. Thursday, November 3, 2011. Time has gotten away from me, and I realized I never did post Kabeer's newborn pictures! As I mentioned in a previous maternity post. My friends Rahul and Mitu had a sweet baby boy, Kabeer, in July. I had the opportunity to shoot his "newborn" pictures when he was about 4 weeks old at his home. This was a very special shoot because it was so reminiscent of my very first newborn shoot. She said, "We should kiss now.". My favorite of the siblings!
