http://www.readytoreadincolumbus.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Ready to Read in Columbus. Stories and comments on the Ready to Read projects that CML staff are working on. Sunday, March 29, 2009. This is going to be a busy week for me as I need to wrap up a theology research paper and start my spring quarter of library school. Therefore, I don't have time to even think of anything to blog about until next weekend, when I will most likely write about my reaction to the Twilight series (boy, did the last book suck! Until then, take care! Posted by Andrew Cano.

blueshoejr: Google Docs

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008/11/google-docs.html

Thursday, November 20, 2008. I love Google Docs! My husband introduced me to them. We use them for our personal documents that we need to share. We also use them for our scout troop. I can enter information and share it with the other leaders. The co-coordinator and I can share the work of entering the information since I can give her editing control. Posted by Mrs. Hansen. Friday, November 28, 2008. I enjoyed Learn and Play very much. I have found several things that I will continue to use in my personal life. Bloglines was the most useful discovery for me. I have wanted to find a way to keep up with the news and other career enriching sites. Bloglines allows me to put them all in one place. Now I just need to discipline myself to sit down and read through them all! Posted by Mrs. Hansen. Labels: learn and play. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 27, 2008. Http:/ www.librarything.com/home/blueshoejr. I prefer Goodreads to Librarything. Perhaps that is just because I am used to the format on Goodreads. I do like the recommendation feature on Librarything. Librarything also has a lot of information about the book and the author. I don't think I will move all my books from Goodreads over to Librarything though. Posted by Mrs. Hansen. Monday, September 22, 2008. It would have made a great READ poster! Posted by Mrs. Hansen. blueshoejr: Lake Superior Ice

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008/11/lake-superior-ice.html

Tuesday, November 25, 2008. This is pretty freaky. The water is cold in the summer. The thought of falling through the ice . . . I've used Youtube before. I was trying to find a song for the Old Testament books of the Bible. I found plenty of versions. None were helpful. :). They really are the best. I really like the Common Craft videos we have been using with Learn and Play. What a great and easy way to pass on instruction. Posted by Mrs. Hansen. November 29, 2008 at 12:54 PM. blueshoejr: podcasts

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008/11/podcasts.html

Wednesday, November 26, 2008. I found a podcast of stories for kids! It was advertised on Podfeed! When I searched library on Podcastalley I found a library that put their storytimes out as podcasts! The idea is cool. I wasn't impressed with the reader and video would be better in this case. Los Angeles podcasts their special lectures. I was thinking that interviews and special guests would be good podcast content. Now I can listen to archived folk music while I read my news! Posted by Mrs. Hansen. I hav...

blueshoejr: MOLDI

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008/11/moldi.html

Friday, November 28, 2008. I went through the tutorial. I think I would have to actually go through and download a book before I felt completely comfortable with the process. I was impressed with the choices on MOLDI. I found several things I would be interested in reading/listening. I wonder if our public computers already have the programs downloaded onto them? If a customer is trying to download a book on one of our public computers, will he have to install one of the programs? Labels: learn and play.

blueshoejr: Wikis

http://blueshoejr.blogspot.com/2008/11/wikis.html

Thursday, November 20, 2008. I have read the information about Wikis. I like the idea of making a community wiki and letting people add information about their community. Best restaraunts, mechanics, service, entertainment could be listed and updated. I would love to be able to check out what others think about a place before I put my money into it! I had trouble adding to the Learn and Play wiki. I'll try again later. Posted by Mrs. Hansen. Labels: learn and play. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
